Got inspired by that Europe - Ancient mod, so I've gone and decided to create a Barbarian Invasion mod, innit.

Some information about the late-game campaign in the mod.

Hello lads!More V1.5 news.

During the development of version 1.5, I decided to include an extra campaign: the Age of Justinian Campaign.

This campaign is set to commence in 530 AD and will offer a semi-historical experience with carefully integrated fantasy elements, such as the presence of remnants of West Rome scattered across various islands.

Take a look at the starting map for this new campaign!(Work In Progress)

factions

All factions except rebels will be playable.

During this campaign and in the late game of the main campaign, you will use different unit rosters for factions. These unit rosters will be updated as follows:

reform1

reform2

reform3

As you can see, some factions will receive a lot of new units, while others will receive only a few(All screenshots of the new units are available in the Images section).

Additionally, as a late-game invasion, I plan to introduce the Arabic invasion and the Arab Caliphate faction.

More updates will be coming soon.

Definitely seems great! But I have something that I want to see in the game.

Maybe another faction besides the Arabian Caliphate that might be added. If the hard-coded faction cap allows, which doesn't seems like it, perhaps you could add another faction. Something like a fictional Greece or Egypt that could after a bit in the game be a major rival to the ERE besides the occasional neighboring factions, such as the Sassanids, Ostrogoths, or Huns. The Greeks would have various ERE and WRE Units, along with a few pikes to match with their ancient Hellenic ways. It would be an infantry focused faction, relying on their pikes and frontal battle styles to win war. While my suggested Egypt would be focused on using the force of mobility for victory, and could be an ally for the potential Arabian Caliphate. Egypt would be cavalry focused, with some ERE infantry and cavalry units, while also having some Sassanid Cataphracts, as well as also having a few Arabian infantry/cavalry alongside the Caliphate.

And that's basically it. Short list, confusing 1 put up front. If you do not want to do any of this, or even try, then that is alright. This is a recommendation, not a demand, after all.

But anyway, it is a great mod. Very great. Also I formed a Sicilian Kingdom as Lombardi, and felt good doing it. Thanks for that experience, and on Medieval II as well.

Bye.
