Description

Release v1.0.2 of the Unofficial Update Mod for Star Wars Battlefront II on PS2. Adds a recreation of the content from the Xbox DLC along with CW Hoth, CW Endor, GCW Geonosis, a few additional hunt modes, and Hero Assault (Heroes vs Villains) on every map, along with a slightly expanded Galactic Conquest. Also patched for SWBFSpy multiplayer. These files overwrite some base game files to add the Alt-Addon system, from which the mod runs. The user can then install future Alt-Addon packages using this system.

Does this mean that, in the future, we could see more mods for the ps2 version?

Thank you so much for making this. I've been playing the game on my phone lately and this has totally refreshed my experience! I never played non-Conquest games before but am really enjoying CTF in Galactic Conquest mode. The Clone Wars Hoth and Endor are really cool too. Looking forward to trying out GCW Geonosis.

That said, I've run into two bugs that I haven't tried to/been able to reproduce:

* I played Bespin: Cloud City Conquest with the Leader bonus as the CIS and the game spawned very few units per team, to the point where I was able to capture all the command posts while only seeing about four enemies.

* I played 2-flag CTF on Yavin 4: Arena on the Republic side with no bonuses and played a match without weapon sounds. All other sounds worked fine.

I will try to reproduce these bugs the next time I go through Galactic Conquest as the respective factions.

ETA: I also found a reproducible bug in Galactic Conquest as the Empire. The Garrison and Supply bonus icons are completely blank, the Autoturret and Sabotage bonuses appear as squares with no icons and the Leader bonus appears as a tiny icon with no border.

Thanks for the bug report. If you can provide steps to reproduce the first two, please do! The Bespin spawn issue sounds like it may have just been a fluke with how spawning was handled in that particular instance. The Yavin issue may actually be related to sound memory becoming a problem when multiple maps are played in sequence via GC.

As for the Galactic Conquest bug in GCW, not sure what's causing it but it seems to be purely cosmetic so it's not a high priority fix. If I stumble across the cause I'll patch it, but in the meantime just know it shouldn't impact anything.

Installation:

Make sure you have a clean dump of your SWBF2 PS2 copy of the game, preferably USA. Other editions of the game have not been tested. Only SLUS-212402.01 is officially supported.
Download the Mod. You will get a file called SWBF2_PS2_US_Unofficial_TU.zip
You will need either 7-zip or another tool capable of extracting zip files to open the archive.
After opening, you will see this readme and several files/folders
You will also need 7-zip or some other tool to extract your ISO dump of the game if not already extracted
Drag and drop all files in the .zip into your game's root folder (e.g. \SLUS-212402.01\). This is where SWBFRNT2.ELF is. Overwrite any files it asks you to (WARNING: PLEASE MAINTAIN YOUR OWN BACKUP IF YOU CARE, OR UTILIZE THE BACKUP FILES THIS MOD INCLUDES)
Re-compile your ISO using a tool of your choice and load it into emulator or hardware of choice.
