You'll battle cultists, gargoyles, zombies, hellhounds, and an unholy host of other terrors in your quest to stop Tchernobog. You must not only defeat the Cabal--you must scour its dread name from human memory. If that means eradicating everyone and everything the Cabal has ever tainted, so be it. Of course, you'll first have to make your way through fortresses, castles, mines, mansions, and estates guarded and kept by Tchernobog's malevolent servants. Fortunately, it is wits that make the hero, and although you're in serious danger of losing yours, you've got enough left to improvise some pretty effective tools of destruction. Aerosol hairspray can be frightening enough on its own, but apply it to a lighter flame and you've got an instant flamethrower (kids, don't try this at home!). Likewise, a flare gun can brighten your prospects considerably against even the grimmest odds, which is to say nothing for shotguns, Tommy guns, and dynamite. Who knows,...
Blood HD HUD for NBlood and BloodGDX v1.04 and higher. All hand-drawn. This mod replaces entire Blood's HUD into much more higher resolution (Upscaled to 600% from original resolution.) Most lost details from upscaling are hand-drawn, so this should stay very much true to the original design. Not yet compatible with Blood Fresh Supply.
Strange ... My programs 7-Zip and WinRAR can not open the archive: "the file is damaged or an unknown format." Maybe someone will be able to pack a file in a zip archive? Thanks in advance.
That's weird, it was working fine on my end. I've reuploaded it with a zip compression. Let me know if it works!
Thanks! This version of the zip-archive works well.
Any chance this is (our could be made) compatible with nblood?
At this time, it is not compatible with any ports other than BloodGDX.
However, I plan to make this mod compatible to NBlood and Fresh Supply in the future.
I made it compatible with nblood. In the nblood folder you need to create the "autoload" folder. In the folder "autoload" from the archive "Xrosss_HD_HUD_Module_r1.2.zip" copy "hud.zip". In "hud.zip", you must additionally create another file "blood.def". blood.def should have the text:
include hud.def
Thus, if the "hud.zip" file is in the "autoload" folder and it consists of the "hud" folder, the "hud.def" and "blood.def" files - the new HUD, Help screen and Credit Screen will be in nblood.
Thanks man, now I got it working with nblood; however, only the default HUD (screenshot number 3 in the file's preview) is available. Any way of getting the other 2 to show up? I searched through the options of nblood and didn't find any way of changing it.
Thanks again.
It is necessary to press the "+" or "-" keys on the map - the HUD will change. In nblood, 1 and 3 HUD states are available (screenshot number 2 in the file's preview are not available in nblood), symbolic images of the heart, armor, ammo and keys are also available.
Silly me, that's how I change HUD types in eduke32, and that is what nblood is based on. Can't believe I didn't think of that.
Anyway, cheers!
I just updated my mod so now it is fully compatible with NBlood. Textures won’t appear incomplete.
Quick update - thanks a lot!
I probably had a HUD of the first release, and when BloodGDX 1.04 appeared - everything was broken, only the most minimal HUD worked. I really like loading, help and credit screens.
Now everything is working correctly, great job!
Thank you, I plan to support this as long as there is no compatibility issue!
Any luck adapting this wondrous thing for FS?
Hello, this work on blood fresh supply?
Unfortunately, I am unable to make this function for Blood Supply other than BloodHDX and NBlood. BS doesn’t like higher resolution textures for its Interface. I will make it work as I get the true method to tackle the obstacle.
hi there, just to let you know i found a bug:
inside tiles folder, the png files
9216.png and 9216a.png
are a huge gray rectangle instead of the triangle size red back button
(using blood gdx, i did a fix removing those files to get back the unmodded back button)
Thanks for letting me know. The problem probably happened with the newer version.
I will have it fixed.
I investigated and now I know where those files are in. That folder is for NBlood. That folder isn't read by BloodGDX at all. To just make sure, you should remove any file trace of the mod and Extract the compression on autoload. fyi I had no problem on my end when I updated my client to v1.07.
Is there still any plan for Fresh Supply support?
