Six six... seven? I guess it's Satan +1. And then there's 4, 5, 13, 17... Never mind.

This episode is brought to you by the numbers six and seven. No letter though.

The Sixth Ring is a demo of a Third Encounter scenario by Todd S. Meyer. Only four levels here, the full version promised a grand total of seventeen more. The catch? To "register" the set, you had to send $5 by cash or check, plus another $2.50 if you want the levels on floppy, otherwise it would be delivered by e-mail. The full version does not seem to have survived till today, perhaps because people playing the demo had decided it's all a scam. With the small exception of the first floor, these maps are all mazey, very small and extremely simplistic. I'm sad to say that the full version probably wasn't worth the price.

And then we have two mapsets by HACKER782, going under the slightly convoluted names of 6 of 13-first blood(yours!) and Continuing Horror-7-13. These are again parts of a larger whole: the author only posted 6 out of 13 maps for the former, and 4 out of 13 for the latter. What we do receive is, well, consistent in mapping style. They are small to very small and action-packed, meaning some rooms are literally packed full of enemies and pickups. There's no way to get lost and not much to explore in these narrow passages and blocky rooms, it's just combat, combat, combat. Maybe you'll appreciate it.
