Hello! its been rather quiet here hasn't it? I thought I'd break that silence to give you all here a bit of an update on beta 1.1!

The update is still coming of course, a lot has happened since beta 1.0 dropped, a lot of real life situations and other projects have kept me a bit busy, but I still have been working on this project (I could never let it die). Now, in this little devblog of sorts I'll be showing off some of the new features and changes that will be coming in beta 1.1, the first of which is the brand new Camarillasaurus TLC!

Camar Preview

Its model, textures, animations and sounds all finished and done by myself! and it currently implemented in game, however I will show that off once we're closer to release. The proportions have been completely overhauled, with a more rounded/fat body and pebbly scales across its hide as well as a more spinosaur-esc head and a new through pouch! Most notable of the changes are that it now has teeth! though it is still just as passive as it was in 1.0, though perhaps more elusive?

We also have another animal getting an overhaul, that being Balaur! The model and texture done by myself, while the skin and pattern was done by GameVideosForLife. A female variant also exists however that will be shown off at a later date when they are fully implemented. A horror themed raptor design is something I've wanted in Carnivores for a long time, and I didn't really capture that with the original. Perhaps I may have gone to far with it, but at the same time I adore it so much!

Balaur Preview

These two, as well as the entire roster are receiving entirely new behaviors and rebalances to their stats, points and especially their target zones. Along with to those changes, the menus are also receiving some tweaks, being far more legible now, especially the target zone icons.

The mod also being ported to the latest Modder's Edition Engine (1.0.6.1) as of writing this. Though unfortunately there will not be a custom trophy room in this update for all the map work is being put into the overhaul for Auroris Coast. The weapons will also be overhauled entirely, however none are ready to be shown off yet.

I will not be announcing the release date of 1.1, as I do not want to disappoint if I cannot make that deadline. Perhaps this is a bit disappointing to some, in which case I apologize, making mods is not easy, and I have other projects and real life issues that keep me occupied. I do not know if ill do more of these in the future, but I thought I'd at least try to update you guys on the mod's progress!

Beautiful work in this beta 1.1.
Love the Balaur design with feather details in the body, it has a creepy appearance!

It just needs to be animated and given some final tweaks to its texture and its ready for implementation!
