The gas can ammo pickup is 3D, there's a railgun, tirestacks appear, the Archmage is nigh unkillable again, DarkDoom is back and there's Strife falling damage. Also, the keyconf is a little more convenient.
There's been another pause in my progress on this, and there's about to be another one as I'm moving out of my current home next week. I figured it's about time to give the people something, and to make it sufficient to make the wait worthwhile.
Two things out of Psychophobia by 0xCobalt: First, the gas can ammo pickup has been replaced with the one from Psychophobia, so it's now a 3D model. Second, the 3D Railgun from Psychophobia makes its appearance in Doom II, replacing the bus sign from SGTMarkIV's Brutal Doom remap.
The burning tires from the remap have been replaced with the tire stack from Action Doom by Scuba Steve. It is shootable and can be knocked over, scattering the tires.
The Archvile, now the Archmage, has an absurd number of hit points once again. So, not only is he extra aggressive and hovering, but he's nigh unkillable. But you can and will be able to get him with enough shots. I swear.
DarkDoom by TheUnbeholden is back in, making things more realistic in the sense that you can't see so well. The problem with this is that it doesn't seem to play too nicely with the fog, i.e. the fog is pretty much not there anymore. Once I can make it and UDVfog play nice together, we'll have some real fun.
I've introduced Strife falling damage, in part because falling damage is realistic, in part because I don't think I want anything else from Strife.
Last, but possibly most desired, the keyconf has been switched around. Now the MP40 is alone in slot 8. Here's the current breakdown:

Cool mod. But can you make fall damage from strife a separate mod for doom or is there such a mod?
It should be an option in GZDoom's settings. My mod just forces it to be on.
