[RePack by S.L] s.t.a.l.k.e.r. Russian OGSR Mod patched to run in English and repacked. Translate it so we can play it series Mod #4
This is the Russian OGSR Mod from Serega-Lus from here: Stalkerportaal.ru Patched to run in English and repacked. Stand alone. Shadow of Chernobyl not needed.
The Russian Repack ran great in Russian but was not set up to run in English. The English file set did not match, it was closer to original OGSE. The English file set has been patched to match the Russian OGSR files and is now ready to play in English. The dialog, menus, inventory etc. are all fixed.
Credits go to SeregA-Lus for his repack and the OGSE/OGSR developers for this great mod. All I have done is patch the English files to match the Russian files. No content has been added or removed other than fixing the English files using the included Russian files for source. Credit for the translations go to whoever did them for SeregA-Lus version of OSGR. I did not redo the translations. I only translated some strings that had to be added from the Russian files.
Important:
- Windows Windows 7/8/10, if "Account Control (UAC)" is enabled, run the game with administrator rights.
- If the game saves don't work, then run the game with administrator rights.
- If the game doesn't start, try deleting user.ltx userdata, in the root of the game.
- Windows 8/10, Windows 7
- Try not to put the repack on the "Windows" Drive but especially:
<< Do not intall this mod in Program Files or Program Files (x86) >>
Also avoid installing this in your downloads folder**

This should be installed already if you've ever run Windows Update before. But Windows 10 lacks the full support for DX9 so try this if there are problems running the mod:
In Windows 10, by default, there is only Directx 12, and Stalker, especially for mods, needs Directx 9, 10, 11.

The Microsoft DirectX® End-User Runtime installs a number of runtime libraries from the legacy DirectX SDK for some games that use D3DX9, D3DX10, D3DX11, XAudio 2.7, XInput 1.3, XACT, and/or Managed DirectX 1.1. Note that this package does not modify the DirectX Runtime installed on your Windows OS in any way.
I there are still issues with Direct X, some recomend that before installing Directx 9 from Microsoft, in the Windows / SysWOW 64 folder, delete all old d3dx9 ... dlls, starting from d3dx9_24.dlll and ending with d3dx9_43 dll, and only then install Directx from Microsoft, which will install all deleted dlls anew. Back these up before you try this and do this at your own risk. But if all else fails you could try this.
KNOWN ISSUES
V. Sidorovich talks very quietly.
A. This is not a bug. Now Sidorovich just talks, and does not sound telepathically in his head. Turn off the radio.
Q. The gunsmith doesn't want to upgrade the weapon.
A. Upgrades are slot dependant. The slot the weapon is in when trying to upgrade it is important. Example: Shotgun slot 1, Assault rifle slot 2.
Who has OGSR crashing with 2 FATAL ERROR messages before reaching the main menu, you can solve the problem by checking if MSI Afterburner is running with RivaTunerStatisticServer (the likely reason is incompatibility of the RTSS overlay).
Turning off MSI + RTSS the game started - as expected via the shortcut of the OGSR configurator
ATTENTION:
It is a known issue that X-Ray engine may damage the quicksaves and even autosaves. We strongly recommend to make incremental "hard saves" through Save Game Menu every now and then on each map to avoid very rare but frustrating situation when X-Ray corrupts all your quicksaves/autosaves and you can't continue your game.
- This is the final part of the mod, Repack was updated on 02/23/2020 / the mod version and the final patch: 1.0.7 / fix from 02/03/2020
- As the developers write, they are forced to stop developing this product.
- There are some bugs, but they do not affect the passage, we pass the mod completely inside and out.

This is the Russian version of OGSR Mod. Which is the advanced version of OGSE 0693, a Mod for Shadow of Chernobyl. With new quests, new weapons, and running on the latest version of OGSR engine, hence the name change to OGSR. The added features are listed on the main summary page. The reason for making this mod run in English and sharing it is so we can all play OGSR Mod itself, as released, without extra modding added. As the other versions available in English are further modded and changed from this.
The question was where to get the OGSR Russian mod, playable in English. The answer was there was none. The available English versions of OGSR are further modded again. Not a bad thing, but where to get the original OGSR?
We have solved the issue. We now have it and with a more recently updated main db file.

But, with that configurator, we can't raise the carry capacity above the 100kg.
So, I asked about how can we adjust the actor.itx like we usually do on any other mods.
Especially this mod, such adjustment of actor.itx will cause the crashes.

To go above 100kg the way you want to do it you will likely need to defeat the script that limits it. Plus edit the system.ltx to match the actor.ltx. I have not looked to see what script it is. It would be easier to add the carry weight lines to your outfit. The rest of the actor.ltx seems to be adjustable as usual.

Sorry, but the installation instructions were unclear to me. Is this mod standalone, or do I copy the files into my existing SoC folder?
I tried launching it both ways, but I get 2 fatal errors when launching, even after going through the troubleshooting steps above. I am using the Steam version btw. Any other help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Try using the -steam command-line parameter.

The book "Oldman Ignatius's Tales" hasn't been translated.
The books added by OGSR are not translated. The books already present from OGSE are translated. I could use a hand translating the DDS pictures as these are not text or HTML files. Please send a PM if you are able to do this.
what should I do to disable headbob? If I copy over my effectors.ltx from Memories of the Zone it crashes the game.
Console command or user.ltx edit cam_inert 0 will remove almost all of the headbob.

Ok so I'm doing the quest find the anomalous household items, and I have combed the entire dead city three times now, and nothing. The last object is nowhere to be found. It's the "jar" ? and its location is SUPPOSED to be on a rooftop somewhere, the description I found said to climb the north walls east facing ladder? to the roof. Well, the entire dead city only has one building with a ladder and roof, and it's not up there. On a side note, I did find the "midas" artifact, but the room it is sitting in is impossible to jump back out of.
Although I may leave it alone because I've read since it's worth 5 million rubles no trader can even afford to buy it from you, thus making it worthless.
I suppose I could try to pile up a bunch of garbage items in the room to make a pile to the roof, but thats besides the point. I want the last household item.
I have the spoon, plate, kettle, bottle? and doll. I am using the best artifact detector and it doesn't find it either, anywhere in the city. And no, I did not find it and stash it somewhere else, I already checked that twice.
Jar - Gym roof. Use the ladder on the outside north wall at the east corner.
If you go to the Gym roof right after the quest triggers it is up there. I can see it without a detector. When I look to the left on the roof from the top of the ladder. It actually looks like a white baked on enamel coffee cup. For me there was also another artifact next to it. Could not miss them as they are lit up and glowing.
Note: I just now tested this by loading the save from the quest trigger. It is there if I go right to it when the quest triggers. If I leave Dead City and come back later it is not there anymore. It de-spawns.

This is the latest Official OGSR with an added spawner by SL. There are two others. One is heavily modded. The other is an unauthorized leak of the unfinished WIP 2021 version. I am working on the new version with an OGSR Dev. I am not aware of a minimalist hud option.

i cant seem to be able to just drag and drop the savefiles folder, it says its says
it has fatal errors in the file xr_ini.cpp where it cant open section wpn_sayga12k_k1
and it pulls an exitfromwinmain
with the issue in xrdebugnew.cpp with the description being unexpected application exit
I have problem with starting game, it only shows black screen and it crashes for no reason.
How compatible with mods this is? Can I install ZRP, OWR 3, Absolute Structures? Or this is strictly made to run vanilla?
Edit: Played for a while and the engine seems really stable and holding on. I have a Nvidia 710m and I was even able to turn on sun shadows, putting the game at 30/35 fps, since it is potato I'm using.
Gotta say this one is nice. Now let's see if it holds up some modding. Also how can I unpack your db files so I can merge mods? I was trying to install mods and it would CTD very easily, but I know how to do the fixes, I just need to unpack your .db files to merge.

Yeah I figured it is not that easy. I've managed to edit a lot of stuff on my own, but the build seems very tidy organized in a way that I'm not used to, this is probably made for developers own convenience.
It would be really nice to have OWR 3 merged into this. The old models look awful to my taste, but there is particles.xr and a myriad of .ltx files that would be a pain to merge because I noticed the devs on this build kept everything tidy while the OWR 3 are default files, which are somewhat a mess. Not a slight on the pack, I'm loving it!
edit: I take the opportunity to suggest to everyone to unpack gamedata\weapons\*.ltx and go through the files and see that many guns have inconsistencies all around.
You can check that values between its normal and silenced performances vary in a non-consistent manner, in some guns the silencer makes it go further, in others it doesn't. In some it increases power, in others it doesn't. Some it increases the ROF and in others it doesn't. All in all it really could use some manual input, which I'm doing. I'm editing all weapons because I can see it needs some consistence.
How's the editing going? Any chance you could upload the modded files with OWR 3 merged in?

This mod Moddb.com seems to work.
I have the capacity limit set to 99, and have about only 57 loaded in backpack. However, just walking my endurance goes down so fast I can't walk very far at all. Suggestions on what might be the problem/adjustment to make would greatly be appreciated.
Getting constant extremely low fps when the game decides to compile that "yuvlrgb" shader like 4 times in 5 mins, like lower than at least 15 when near that space bubble anomaly puzzle in garbage (been fine before there, with solid fps in Cordon and southern Garbage, but when near that puzzle (when actually looking at it) my fps crawls and that shader "compiles" like 4 times making the game log say that some signal is slow)
So, I don't know what it was, but turning on "Smart Game Booster" fixed my problem, might've been some service or something that wasn't playing well near that spot.

There is another version of this mod OGSR ver. 1.011 + Kulgband quest DLC from year 2021, you can find it on Discord called OGSR as well as OGSR + Gunslinger and its patches.
