Just when you thought it was safe to walk in tall grass again a wild Spotlight appears! Introducing the first IndieDB Spotlight video, jammed packed with umm well Indie games (I though that would be obvious). Since ModDB has a sister site now the Spotlight also gets shared.
For all of those who are seeing this magical video for the first time the Spotlight is a round up of all the featured Independent titles from the previous month, ModDB has had the Spotlight running for going on 3 years now so it will keep happening. To get featured on IndieDB and to get your spot on next months video, just make sure your release makes it to the front page by including relevant media and texts. Its simple!
UFO: ALIEN INVASION is a squad-based tactical strategy game in the tradition of the old X-COM PC games, but with a twist. Our game combines military realism with hard science-fiction and the weirdness of an alien invasion. The carefully constructed turn-based system gives you pin-point control of your squad while maintaining a sense of pace and danger.

Till next time mod away my good friends and watch this group for updates.
wow. minecraft got featured. =D
and the good old creeper encounter :P scares me everytime XD
What made me happy this week was Mushroom Kingdom Fusion (love games on that stile).
Alien Invasion and Puzzle Dimension look nice, too.
minecraft looked awesome, even though I have no idea what was going on.
Simply put you mine for minerals, craft some weapons and better gear, sometimes monsters attack you. There is no win or lose its just diggan.
It's addicting, you can play a bit of it for free but for all the features its 10 Euro right now. Also its still in development.
Minecraft completes me. It's like drinking chocolate milk.
just to say, the skeletons were fighting because one accidentally shot the other while trying to shoot you.
it's a cool new feature. mob wars. :P
Puzzle Dimension interests me !
Minecraft looks RLY cool :)
Awesome picks, guys.
Great
Yeah, yeah... And where is ModDB's Spotlight?
Nice one lads, kudos for giving Mushroom Kingdom Fusion some much needed attention, it certainly has far more depth than Super Mario Crossover and some really random surprises.
Hard to say what that game is in 6 words or less.
Glad I bought MineCraft!
I love that the site is expanding beyond text into video and a future podcast. Thanks for creating this treasure chest of an indie forum!
I wish someone made a "scorched tanks" mod. Don't know why i thought about that right after i watched that vid, but it would be insane =)
Minecraft or Mushroom Kingdom Fusion should have won. They both rock!
I actually can't believe MC was up there. and that it would have the most individual comments on this post out of all the games.
digitanks looks cool:D
