- All Nod faction SAM turrets now don't show tib core in the build placement cursor.
- Nod SAM turret hubs now show tib core missile model when building, furthermore this structure has a really damaged and dying tib core missile model state. Really damaged and rubble animations also added.
- Battlebase has a brand new animation and glows taken from the cnc3 demo, glows further improved, stealth detector spotlight doesn't follow the radar animation anymore.
- Fanatic portrait now is the uncensored version from tib wars.
- Stealth units such as Stealth Tanks, Vertigo Bombers and Specter artillery visually appear unstealthed when really damaged or in dying state.
- Added missing Nod airtower glows (and improved it)
- Tiberium core missile bikes, Stealth Tanks, Mantis, SAM turrets and SAM turret hub now show a damaged tib core texture that EA forgot to implement on everything besides the quad turret hub and tech lab tiberium core sub object.
- Attack Bikes with tib core now show rubble when destroyed.
- When hosting a lobby on cnc-online R18 maps now appear in the "ranked' maps (useful for quickly finding popular maps).

So here it is, at last. The Kane's Wrath 4K Texture Add-On. It contains high res textures, updated shaders and more to enhance the game's graphics on the resolutions of today and tomorrow.
The UI, terrain among other things were things I endeavoured to do, but due to current limitations and/or technical problems - I was limited to just the units and structures.
This mod was designed to be compatible with C&C Online and patch 1.02, it's made to be played with players without it and even changes through overrides are compatible and wont cause desyncs.
Many of the fixes and additions only appear in 1.02+ R21 map pack maps as to maintain revora compatibility online I had to go that route. It just means to get the best experience, play on 1.02+ R20 maps.
I'd like to touch up by saying that you need a decent computer to run this add-on. The requirement is 4GB of dedicated video ram or higher, to ensure theres headroom for other applications running in the background.

Eduardo82 , that is from another patch, 1.02+ Patch by cgf123, check it on his website CommandPost.
and any Avatar can destroy Nod/BH bikes, but they all cant destroy Mok bikes in vanilla (1.02).

How do I fix the error which says "Error opening file for writing"??
Close the game when running the installer - I shouldve closed it automatically at the time.
Edit: The updated installer closes the game automatically now.

Run the game before running the installer and it will work.
Make sure its a version of kane's wrath from either origin or steam, I cant guarantee versions obtained elsewhere will work.
The installer checks for the registry being populated or it will spit out that message, so in your case it didnt exist since it was a new installation that didn't have a first run. The installer also will close the game if its detected to be open to make that error disappear, since if the game is open while trying to copy files it won't be able to.

This has been incredibly time consuming and has taken its toll on me. I don't really want to do it for Tiberium Wars, especially since I don't have the same passion for that as I do for Kane's Wrath.
I've achieved what I set out to do here and I'm more than happy with the final result.
Hey! Haven't played the game since the R12 maps. Just recently found out about your mod and very happy, I've always wanted something like a remaster! That a huge amount of work has been invested, cool mod! Saw both of your mod videos. But I myself am not guided in the modding of this game, because I do not know where to start.
To the point: After installing the mod after all the R18 maps, the new rocket trail effects from the 1.02+ patch disappeared, I really love this option so much. It would be great when installing your mod to have the same function for those trail effects as in the 1.02+ patch.
P.S. Wait... when I play on the R18 maps some upgrades are missing, but the description is still there. For example, the NOD upgrade to the quad turrets disappears, is this intended by an update of the 1.02+ patch? If so, does anyone know from which update the upgrades began to be removed?
Noted. I'll have an option to enable that in an update, I might even update this here in the next week or so to include that.
As for quad turrets, CGF removed them instead of fixing the desync associated with it as it would've would affected balance too much, especially since multi mcv tactics are already the best.

I didn't alter them from the 1.02+ patch, but I've updated the installer and download here to include the option to enable them.
Just redownload this here and enable it in the installer, and it'll work.

uh guys ,I play the game with the patch on the 1080P monitor .It runs pretty good But the cursor is very big ,how can I fix that?
It would be nice if this material pack and graphics module could be used with other modules.
This mod patches 1.02 and 1.02+ maps, while maintaining compatibility online with other players without it. One limitation is the 4GB limit due to the game being 32bit, so combining it with heavy mods would result in crashes.
Can work terrain texture improve without resolution change?
It's possible as far I'm aware but the issue is every map in the game would need to be retextured.
I just discovered this mod and it made me fall in love with C&C all over again. I even got my friends to buy it in the Steam sale so we can play it together. The graphical update is huge and it makes the game look like it was released now instead of 14 years ago. I also appreciate the video you made about improving the terrain. That's really the cherry on top. So in short, thank you!
Having said all that, I've got one question. After installing the mod, it keeps saying that Reshade is out of date. I've downloaded and installed the latest Reshade (in order to get the terrain fix out of your video) but the game still keeps saying it. Do you know what's up with that?
here is no need to update that, in fact the latest had issues iirc with the game. That option to enable CAS is inside of the installer I made, you just have to tick that and it'll work. There's a bunch of other options in there concerning 1.02+ maps as well and shader stuff. Glad you like it! That was the goal of the project, plus I just wanted something that looked nicer on my high res monitor.
Ah, I see. I removed it and indeed, in-game it comes with specifically and only that option.
If you want to see even more stuff, like command post having night lights, ceramic armor texture swaps , animation fixes and much much more you should check out the 1.02+ r18 maps (if you havent already). I patched those with even more stuff as to maintain compatibility online with the rest.
I haven't checked out the extra maps nor did I install them. I'll remember that for when my friends and I are sick of the stock maps.
One last question though and probably a dumb one: I saw in another comment that someone asked if this mod would come to TW3 as well and you said no, because it would be a lot of work. Which I of course fully understand, but I'm a bit confused as to why it's so much work? I'm not a modder but seeing how you've already redone all the assets (which are used by TW3 as well) what exactly is the challenge? Just curious, nothing more.
It was good that I didn't do it for TW3 since I have steadily been improving this, as you can see in the update log when expanding the description here. I'll eventually get to it but I'm busy at the moment with a community patch, but eventually it'll materialise. I'm also a multiplayer guy and so my goals are to get more people into Kane's Wrath multiplayer, this project here works with other players online who dont even have it installed, and the 1.02+ r18 map packs have features and additions from this 4k pack here that are found nowhere else.
There's multiple mods in this and some of them only work when those map packs are installed.

It will work on custom maps, yes. Not sure what the point is of having it load in worldbuilder.

I canยดt get this mod work with other mods, like One Vision for example, the textures are there, the HUD is there, even the mechanics and also the change of money given every second by tiberium spike is there, but no units, before the PC upgrade, I played the game with 4K add-on normally with every mod no biggie, tried reinstalling the game and also the 4K mod, but no use. Any idea why is it like that? Or maybe I`m confusing this mod with some other graphical mod?
It wont work with other mods, but it will work with 1.02 and be compatible with multiplayer. I also made this to work with the 1.02+ R19 map packs that you can find here:

Hello. I don't want to bother you much, but there is one question I'd like to ask. In The update video you mention that you've fixed a lot of the unfinished stuff from EA's end of KW. I'm using the Bandage "mod" that acts like an unofficial patch for KW (as in no new stuff or balance changes, just fixes to the code). Is this incompatible as well, or is it more or less covered by your remaster?
You can combo this with the R19 map packs to get a lot of the fixes found in that. This isnt going to work with bandage (yet), but I have made it work with the popular 1.02+ r19 map packs. You can get those here:

Thank you for the reply. I'm definitely going to try the map packs out! I'm just glad that KW is getting the love it always deserved. I have Tiberian Essence for Tiberium Wars, and for KW, Bandage has been my go-to "Vanilla+" experience.
R19 and the 4k mod had similar objectives set out as bandage, to improve the vanilla game. 1.02+ R19 is the multiplayer standard at the moment, and the 4k mod is desiigned to work with those maps, and by extension 1.02. A lot of stuff you find in bandage is also in 1.02+ R19.
1.02+ has had a 10 year history, but here is the change log of release 19 it minus the qol and bunch of other stuff that were inherited from my earlier 1.02+ project that ended up in R19 as well.

I've got the physical DVD of C&C3; TW Kane Edition. Unfortunately, this mod won't install and show the error "Please make sure Kane's Wrath is installed", and then "Can't write Retail.exe\1.2\Reshade.id"
The author said it needs some registry key. Well, which one is it? Alternatively, can't I provide the installation directory via command line? I tried copying the installation file in the game's directory but it's still displaying the error.
This only works for KW, not TW.
