Various extras from the official website, including scenario editor manuals (in .doc format), a unit exporter for 3DS Max, and 3 custom scenarios.
Scenarios
Italy_mp
The Italian Renaissance: Players must be the first to reach the Enlightenment Age to win. But there are only three libraries on the map and the players are not able to build libraries, universities, or cities.
Europe
5 NATO nations fight against the USSR. NATO must defend against the threats to Europe.
Capture
Four nations have been stranded on an island far from home. Only a scholar who lives on the island can direct them home. Be the first player to capture the scholar for 3 minutes and he will tell you how to get home. Do not take the scholar out of his territory or you will lose time. Your units will upgrade the more kills you get.
Instructions
Unzip the contents of the file into your Rise of Nations scenario directory. Default path: C:\Program Files\Rise of Nations\scenario
Launch Rise of Nations and select multiplayer game.
In the game setup screen, select Scenario under Game Rules and then select one of the scenarios listed in the scenario drop down menu.
Big Huge Unit Exporter
Mod makers take note! You can now download the very 3ds max exporter that BHG unit developers used to create the art for Rise of Nations. Use it to add your own creations to the game! 3ds max is required, but once the exporter is installed you will be able to export your models in the same file formats that we use. Instructions and tips from Unit Art Lead Bill Podurgiel are also included with the download.
Scenario Editor manuals
The new Scenario Editor gives you the power to create your own maps, terrain, diplomatic status, and a bounty of other modifications within a situation you create. Even a few, ahem, tactical "shortcuts" are available to you.
