Since the very beginning of Cry of Fear, it was apparent that Simon was severely depressed, and had no one to turn to. It was even said by Doctor Purnell that Simon had been deeply disturbed individual since long before "the accident". But how did Simon get this way? What had happened that caused him to have no one to depend on in his life? This custom story mod takes a creative look at how Simon got to where he was at the very beginning of Cry of Fear. It's about having no one to depend on, no shoulder to lean on, and no one, not even your best friend, to turn to at your darkest hour. It's a story of social isolation, of being pathetically and utterly alone.

We issue an apology for unprofessionally releasing a broken and buggy demo.

A few weeks back, we released version 1.0 of the demo for the mod, only to receive comments explaining the numerous game breaking bugs, errors, and misplaced files. The fact that we released a demo that was so unfinished and broken is unprofessional of us, and, because of that, I, as the leader of this project, would like to sincerely apologize for this. The poor quality of the demo is just as disappointing and frustrating to us as it is to all of you.

As of the moment, we are testing a version 1.1 of the demo on multiple computers so as to accurately identify and eliminate bugs and errors. We don't want to say an exact time that this will be released, but it should be relatively soon.

Thank you for pointing out the errors and misplaced files; we'll try our best to make sure this doesn't happen again.
