update 4 revision D: compatibility for DBP maps (Doomer Boards Projects) tested with DBP 60 Eldridtch Voyage

4th update, Revision D
- 2 versions included in this ZIP archive:
the original Low-Spec version with removed effects
and the newer untouched version with all the effects
Update focused on removing even more features from BrutalDoom
in order to provide compatibility with
DBP Doomer Boards Projects maps
- tested with DBP 60 Eldritch Voyage
- tested with gzdoom 4.8.0 (Vulkan+Reshade)
and tested with gzdoom 1.9.1
(Zandronum compatibility for netplay)
- note: if you want to play without Auto-Aim,
go to Gameplay menu and explicitly disable Auto-Aim
CHANGELIST:
- removed monster death sprites to avoid frozen animations
- removed decoration sprites (trees, lamps, etc)
- removed Terrain textures and terrain code (unfortunate because
Brutal Doom had some enhancements like making Lava pools glow for example...
it's surprising gzdoom doesn't add that by default)
- Initially, this mod was based on a lowspec version
I had from older laptop.
So now I added back the original weapons code
from original BD-20b (2016) to give back
all the special effects from weapons
(particles, smoke, lighting)
- If you want to add some of the monsters back,
all you need to do is open this mod with Slade
and manually Search/Replace all the instances of
//Replaces for Replaces (remove the "//")
Some maps provide their own modified monsters,
so unfortunately there's no 1-size-fits-all solution for this.
