This mod is an addition to vanilla Freelancer. It rebalances a lot of the original content, but the campaign still remains playable.

In celebration of Freelancers 20th Anniversary, while I was watching the event streams from the-starport.net (thanks again guys), I started working on support for the the Freelancer HD Edition. This release adds support for the current V0.6

While I was working on making my mod compatible with the HD Edition,
I started on making some other improvements as well,
I hope you guys apprechiate it, although it took longer than anticipated.
Full changelog follows.

Version 1.4
20 Years Freelancer Anniversary release, on the 5th of May 2023:
* Made the mod compatible with the Freelancer HD Mod V0.6 by BC46
- thus removed Freelancer.exe, server.dll, common.dll and names.dll
+ Included the awesome nomad models and effects from Treewyrm
* Changed the Multiplayer starting reputation
+ Added a new missile
+ Added Multicruise.dll to achieve different cruise speed for all ships and
most importantly re-enable engine kill manouvers
- Removed the second engine from all ship packages. You will need to rebuy your
ship for that to apply, so your ship may fly way too fast after the update!
* Increased the cruise speed of many light fighters
* Changed the blend mode of smoke effects which got broken by the HD Edition :-(
* Fixed some texts
* Improved most Aquanox effects
* Added gradients to the damage zones in the Leuchtfeuer system
+ Added drag modifiers to some zones in the Leuchtfeuer system
+ Made the JAM hostile in single player as well
* Changed/Fixed FAF and JAM Empathy rates
+ Added new ammo to story bases like the osiris
* Changed the exhaust effect of the jam missiles
* Improved mod activation time by reducing file writes
