Sorry if I just don't understand a "classic" but I don't get what's the appeal of this mod. I suppose the level design, it looks cool, but the gameplay hasn't been fun at all so far - really confusing goals and map layout and so far it just keeps throwing more enemies at my face without any sort of direction.

Also, for God's sake, how was I ever supposed to know that the metal crates that aren't breakable in base HL and in ANY OTHER MOD are breakable here?

I agree. For how highly rated it is, I felt the gameplay was tedious with constant roadblocks and kinda lame scripting/atmosphere. Really didn't sell me on the ship with boring, propless hallways and confusing level design/direction. There are many better mods out there with a lower rating.

Awesome mod I played it in VR. It's like an alternate reality half life with the plot being a mash up of Alien movies and Half life 1's story. 10/10 in VR!!

Can you imagine a sequel called "USS Darkstar 2: Planet Combine", an Half-Life 2: Episode 2 Mod where it features cut HL2 enemies and new enemies, such as Combine Headcrab, Combine Vortigaunt, a Headcrab Zombie Vortigaunt, and a Combine-controlled Nihilanth?

Can someone please help? I was able to install and run the game in Steam, however there is a glitch where the weapons are not animating. There is muzzle flash, and reload sounds, and an idle animation, but the guns are silent, do not animate that they're firing, the crowbar does not swing even though it does damage, etc. I can hardly find any info on this issue except someone saying to copy cl_dlls and some other folders from the main HL directory into the Darkstar folder but that still doesn't work and I didn't have to do that for the They Hunger games which worked fine.
