There have been some changes to the static objects and flags:
Some of the burnt out trucks and cars have been moved to allow the AI vehicles to navigate easier.
The destroyed truck on the bridge near Valdez was especially problematic.
Some of the road guard rails have been removed.
The bridge from the main US Base (Salmon Pass) and the Radio Tower still has some issues with
the AI getting stuck, but I have got it the best I can. There are quite a lot of vehicles on this map
and they seem to cause traffic jams on the bridges.
The scout helicopters have been replaced with the standard transport helicopters (Blackhawk and
Mi17). The scout helicopters were never made with coop play in mind and when included will
crash the game on occasion.
I have redone the terrain lightmaps, but do not have all the object lightmaps to do everything. I
tried to match the terrain lightmaps as best I could to the original. I think it may be slightly brighter
than the original now.
If you change the flag layout and start to experience random crashes try redoing your Strategic
Areas. Specifically make sure the ‘order positions’ for both infantry and vehicles are in places
where the navmesh exists and the soldiers and vehicles can reach them. Order positions that the AI
cannot reach seem to crash levels a lot.
Also included are the 3D object files (*.obj) used making the Navmesh. If you know how and wish
to edit them further they are in the folder location:
midnight_sun\server.zip\GTSData\output
I used python 2.3.4 to create the Navmesh with BF2Editor.
I used Blender 3.3 to edit the Navmesh obj files
If you find any problem areas where the AI is getting stuck let me know, so I can get them fixed. Screen shots are best.

Fixed object lightmap shadow on xp2_alaskabridge. i.e. I removed the shadow from the destroyed truck which was on the bridge between Valdez and Construction Office.
Fixed a navmesh issue with vehicles getting stuck in trees.
