Storm - it is about challenge, storm - it is a critical situation, you need to proove your skill in order to survive. So name Storm is good enough for Warcraft. Show your war skill!
Maynly, on maps you start with 1 peasant and 2000 gold, 1000 forest, 1000 oil. But there are maps with another starting situation.
First you need to start creating your base. Warcraft 2 is not only about war, it is also about economics. Only after it you can show your war tactics!

Mainly, it is very simple, unpack to warcraft folder, start warcraft 2 and select folder with maps. But this is a very detailed guide.
1) Download archieve
2) unpack it to your warcraft 2 Battle Net Edition (BNE) location at \Maps\Scenario . So this way you have all Storm maps in your Warcraft 2 scenario folder
3) Run Warcraft 2 BNE
4) Select in main menu SinglePlayer -> Start Mission -> Select Mission
5) Now in window you need to scroll all list with maps to the end.
6) click mouse button on folder with name Scenario
7) click mouse on folder Storm
8) choose map and select game conditions. Click Start to play!
9) enjoy!
