EX requires Steam and the Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer to be installed to run, both are free downloads with links from the EX manual. This installer should automatically detect your Steam folder and installed to the correct location. If the installer cannot detect your Steam installation folder or if you worry about running random EXEs downloaded from the internet a 7Zip files is available as an alternative.
