Our beloved freelancer turns 20 on March 4th. This is a powerful number, so we, as part of the freelancer community, have prepared a big event for you.
I'm excited to introduce you to the "Freelancer 20th Anniversary event week". from 24. Februar 2023 to 5. März 2023, various activities from various event hosts, mods, and projects will take place. Great arcade game with a space theme.
Hello. Can anyone help me run it on win 10? It just nothing happens when i try to launch it. also I used youtube videos to make it work, dgvoodoo and dxwnd, nothing of it works
probably late reply... but you will need a no-cd exe to run the game on windows 10 and 11.
The copy-protection used on the FL-CD no longer is supported by modern windows versions. Most mods however, already a workaround build in for this case.
Does anybody know why I have practically no sound in this game? Only thing with audio is firing missiles and escape pod beeping in cutscene, everything else is maddening silence.

First time installing mods, so if I want to install a mod I just install it's latest version? Also is there a sequence to install the mods. I see lot of options like Discovery, Genesis, crossfire, etc.
Genesis used to have two versions, Multiplayer and single player versions. Now there is only the single player version available. Currently 1.5 is the latest
Discovery and Crossfire have their own installers and should be played at separate times. they both run servers and have a robust online community. other than that most of the mods you see use freelancer mod manager Moddb.com download this and it will store your mod and you can activate them and inactivate them. here is something you activate a mod with the mod manager and everything else you want to use is red which means that mod should be activated by it self
Can anyone please assist me with the game.a couple of friends of mine want to lan the game this weekend but we only have one copy of the game , mine.please help can discovery freelancer play without the cd?
yes it plays without the cd go to Discovery site they have tools for you there
You could try Antares rebirth it plays without cd also doesn't require freelancer mod manager or freelancer install you just unpack and play but single player doesn't work
