Very reminiscent of the shield generator from the Protoss faction. From the first StarCraft game, the Protoss had one building that charged shields instantly. By the way, is there any unit that will have a built-in shield generator with restoration? Even if it's secret or stolen.

This structure will regenrate slowly shields of the battlefield but you must upgrade your troops or nothing will happen to them.

Yes, the Pacificator is the only one with builtin personal shield generator.
The model is a reskinned model of the RA3 Allied Future Tank. It has powerfull shields but very weak armor, think in Protoss Archons for reference.

Also currently there are 2 secret techs with shields but are used as placeholders in CABAL faction.

I forgot to ask, how will the Shield Generator work? Will it cover the area in which units and defensive weapons will be located or will it cover everyone, without restrictions?

No! nothing like that.

When CABAL units/defenses get upgraded a new structure (Shield Generator) is available.

When this structure is built (and powered) all upgraded units generate shields overtime (seld-heal shields if is easier).

Not only is useful for extra survival, all upgraded units are vulnerable to Yuri's mind-control and a shield is the only protection against that weapon.

That shield is a placeholder because I needed something visual to be happy :-D

No limits but this logic doesn't stack, it just enable the shield re-generation in upgraded units/structures and each structure of this class consumes 400 of energy so unless you wanted a backup structure somewhere in the map it doesn't make much sense...

You could have a Nanocore as backup and place it in an allied base when yours is destroyed because vehicles doesn't comsume energy.

Once CABAL finish a upgrade the shield Generator will appear available.
If this structure is built (and powered) it will slowly regenerate a new energy shield integrated in all upgraded units/structures.
If this structure is destroyed (or sold) the units/structures won't regenerate their shields but also their shields won't be deactivated.
