Hello there!
It’s been a while since our past update, which seemed to leave many surprised by the revival of Jurassic Life and excited about what is coming further ahead. A big thank you to everyone for commenting, leaving feedback and ideas or mentioning our project to help us recruit new members.
Today we share another update with you so… hold onto your butts!
You have been chosen for a wonderful opportunity. LabTech is proud to announce our upcoming theme park! And you get to be part of the experience, come along for the ride as our guests in the park show you how to handle maintenance, care for your position of ‘PARK RANGER’.
For the first part, we will introduce your primary system of tools and arms. Then we will give you a proper tour of the Park!
We would like to introduce the voice cast for Jurassic Life. Our team has spent the last few months working on casting decisions! These actors bring the characters to life with their extraordinary talent! Welcome them to the team!

We would also like to introduce root_anim, who has joined our team to create assets for Jurassic Life. He is currently working on his first model, the famous circuit breakers.
Momo has been hard at work and we are welcome to show off our new LabTech employees. Don’t worry, the khakis aren’t short! (See rest of them in our gallery!)
We would like to welcome our new team member Paul Elder to the team. Paul Elder has actually been involved in Jurassic Park projects both official and fan-made and has provided us with couple models - among them, a high definition vehicle. We thank him for his wonderful contributions!
Robert Olender (Taurus) has reworked the model for our purposes,created additional textures and optimized it for the Source Engine. Here you see the vehicle in its final form.
We would also like to welcome back some old members who have re-emerged from the woodwork to help us complete the journey.
Composer Matthew Harper, is composing new themes for the journey.
Modeler Barada will be helping create some of the character models from the films.
Development progress from the members:
Zull has continued his animation work on our dinosaurs and we’re really happy with his work. Currently it’s nothing we can show off as it would spoil the gameplay.
Imperial, has worked hard on fixing and reworking the inventory system into a more flexible system.
TheGregster101, Taurus and Shalashaska continue their mapping
Links has created flashlight animations for us
… and a lot more has been made but we save that for some other time.
JURASSIC LIFE only requires SOURCE SDK 2013, which is free and obtainable on Steam.
We will post system requirements in a separate article so you can make sure you can run the game just fine.
We are still looking for people to help code. There is still much to be worked on . If you wish to help with NPC coding (C++) or modeling please let us know. We do need help in those areas still.

Really nice to see Jurassic Life back again, nice update!
Love What I see! keep up the great work.
I'm actually really pleasantly surprised by the quality of the voice acting.
We're also really happy with how things are coming together in that area. It was a long journey to get to this point but it exciting to see these new members use their talent and create the dialogues for the project.

This looks great. I vaguely remember the Visitor's Centre map that came out years ago too. Good luck with everything, seriously, it'd be nice to have something to look forward to this year.

Somehow, and don't ask me how, you managed to put Crysis 1 vibes on THE SOURCE ENGINE.
The Engine, which hates outdoors and plant life the most, got CRYSIS VIBES.
Did you have to sacrifice a firstborn to make VRAD not commit die ?

So it certainly has been a challenge to make these environments. Optimization was always important and on top of that almost each plant or tree must be placed by hand, except for some of the small detail sprites.
VRAD actually does handle it surprisingly well. No children were sacrificed xD Only time.
Mate, I'm so frustrated with this. It was supposed to come out this year but Universal has to come over and bring down the allmighty fist of god upon this fan project.
Please I am begging you if Universal has stopped all progress can someone please leak the game! The fans deserve to see all of the hardwork your whole team put into the game come to fruition
Don't let it all be for nothing, Universal has lost all respect from me, I have been looking forward to this mod for the past 8 years of my life following development and even one of my old mates Zulhazreen is working as an animator.
I am so looking forward to this game, and even if Universal has threatened legal action just leak the full game! This is just unfair, Universal just use jurassic park trademark as a money-sponge none of them actually care about the fans or the quality of the franchise, they see a game way better than anything they would attempt and so they crush it because they fear it will overshadow their low effort games even JWE was missing so many features of the original park builder Jpog and had to many other chunks of the game locked behind a microtransaction paywall then just straight up dlc too.
If Universal does this I will never buy an offical product jurassic of the jurassic park franchise or any other products owned by universal ever again, I will also pirate any future games and movies while encouraging and aiding others to do the same.
This year has been the worst year of my life with my dad passing away suddenly in march and all of this apocalyptic *** stuff going on with the world and to me this game was the light at the end of the tunnel, but it seems like that light has been snuffed out.
Please if you can't continue the game, please PLEASE LEAK IT!!!

Jurassic life devs, could you please update us on the current status of the game?
I have been very excited for this mod/game, and I am not the only one. I know that you might be busy working on making sure that this game is as good as it could possibly be, and I understand that. But if you have the time, could you please update me and the rest of the community who have been waiting for so long to see how this game turns out? even just replying to this saying "The mod is still a work in progress" will at least give me and the community some hope. So, if one of you guys sees this, please respond. Thanks!
