We know things have been quite on our end for a good while and of course we have our reasons. Still we're incredibly grateful for the support the community has shown us. The pace fit our schedules and we're happy to share more of NT° with the rest of you!
On a side note Ed Harrison is also finishing up more music which we hope to release in the near future for all his fans! For now, go install the latest release!
Visit us at Neotokyohq.com for more details.

When it will be released in steam?
Wish I could answer that question but all depends on how quickly documents are signed, people respond via Email, and access.

Delayed post. Was ready on the 16th :)
Moddb is a real stickler. I know. I've uploaded stuff and it took them 6 days sometime...really annoying for urgent announcements. Or if you get Archived. That's the worst.
Delayed by us. Once posted it was actually up and running very quickly. Don't want the hard working ppl behind ModDB to take the rap.
More Ed Harrison music! Woo!
Holy ****, it lives! Can't wait to get back to it!
Yes! :D I'm so looking forward to revisiting this and seeing what you guys have added
Waited so long.. FINALY! Thank you!
Last newspost 3 years ago, best revive ever :D!! But it was never dead, so looking forward to play this again!
Great to see more NeoTokyo and Ed Harrison! :D
Ed Harrison! I won the album on FB and still love it to this day! I would so love if this somehow came to consoles as my friends are mostly console players and are missing out on this amazing experience!
This is the best news in a long time, thanks so much for updating and can not wait to hear more of eds neotokyo stuff, still listen to that OST weekly.
Downloaded OST few weeks ago, still won't go out of my head..
I like it how the porn/hentai magazines in that shopping district map are actually legitimate.
How would you know that?
well, im glad you guys are still working on it. This has been the one mod that I played and said to myself, "If they tweaked some things here/there, this mod could be huge. Anime has such a huge following and the mix of anime + action, and the innovative new gameplay really set this mod apart for me."
When I was playing it, the one thing that I remember being the most annoying aspect for me was the length of the round times. It was painful to die and have to spectate the rest of the match (which I believe lasted up to 5 minutes). If you guys brought that down to 3 minutes or so and try to keep the rounds short like in CS, you'd really appeal to a large player base as I find a lot of players simply don't have the patience to put up with round based games that require players to wait longer than 3 or 4 minutes.
"Changed default server config (3 minute round time, first to score 7)."
At least the standard settings should be more "CS-like" now.
Holy cow!
I think I'll have to download this when I get home.
im gonna wait for the steam release
when i see this ******* awesome newz my mind blow up (on this sound)

!
Most of us thinks that you guys abandon this mod. Thanks for reviving and fixing that annoying exploit.
*jaw drop*
OH MY GAWD! Sweet Neotokyo is back!
Oh man, it's back! It's back. I shall drag everybody I know kicking and screaming into NT. I missed thee.
Yessssss
I will install this soon! This really surprised me as I thought the game was dead!
Can we have a working european server soon? Nice patch anyway. And I hope a steam release soon.
Sweet.
I've still been promoting the game peoples!
Hmm, tried to get on my old forum account, but you must've deleted it.
WHAT!?
I wasn't expecting this! Sneaky sneaky, I'm installing it right now!
What happened with that NT post-mortem article? Pretty sure it was here on moddb. Glad you decided to stick with it though. When I find a sub 200 ping server I'll be all over it.
As far as I can remember there never was one posted by the team. All I could find was one french fan who wrote what he missed. Might have been a sad dream :( But NT is not dead :) Life just makes it a real challenge to put more time into it.
Havent yet played the mod, but the soundtrack is just something.. Been listening to it on a daily basis for a few weeks..
I can't seem to join any servers. Version mismatch or not. I understand, that this means I have the newer version...but not one of the servers up, even with people in them, have updated, then?
wow! couldn'T believe my eyes on that re-release :D will give it another go in the next weeks i guess.
oh, and i justn can't wait for more music from ed. still love the original soundtrack (i ordered one of the physical editions as they came out years ago :))
it is the last patch or in the future a news patch will be release?
well more patches will be coming up as soon as the dev finishes iron sight feature
ty !
HOLY **** WUTTT!?!?!?
Thank you to team Radi-8 for their continued work on one of the most complete game experiences in a long while (mod or not). We all look forward towards the greenlight to see NT get the respect it so rightfully deserves. BTW, can we get some NT merch going on? I'd buy posters, shirts, or stickers :P

I downloaded the full installer, installed it, and went to where it was downloaded inside steam folder but THERE IS NO .EXE TO LAUNCH THE DAMN GAME! What use is the "full istaller" if you can't even play it?
Technically the executable used is the Source SDK Base. A while ago, Valve made that available for free to all Steam accounts:

Okay, I beat Half Life 2 long long ago and don't think I should have to buy it AGAIN!!! Why not a standalone version?! UGH..... Guess I shall have to pass on this one. Bad form. Bad form son. Take a hint from Black Mesa and just make a standalone version where you DON'T HAVE TO BUY ANOTHER GAME!
Neotokyo doesn't require any purchases to play and can be installed on a fresh Steam account, same as Black Mesa. You need to install the free Source SDK Base 2007 from the Tools section of your library:
Forum.radi-8.com
freebird4481: This is all very basic. Like every other mod you'll need a version of Source SDK Base installed. For NeoTokyo you'll need to go to tools under library and make sure you have Source 2006 installed. Once you run the installer you then need to restart steam so it can repopulate. It should now be listed under Library > Games. We apologize for not providing instructions but this is usually common knowledge. I hope that helps.
