Before you all get excited, dont expect anything new in todays update, this is only a post about Mod of the Year awards. Yes its that time of year again, and once again all mod teams are waiting in anticipation for the results next week. I was going to start this news post about how I would like to once again remind you of the progress we have made this year, in the hope that you will vote for Pacific Thunder.
As much as I do indeed hope you do vote for us, I strive each year to get the fans of Company of Heroes modifications to vote for the mods that truly deserve it. Personally speaking, I have already placed my votes for the top Company of Heroes mods, in support of the progress they have made, in particular Zombie Mod, Normandy 1944, Modern Combat, Europe In Ruins, Blitzkrieg, Back to Basics, The Great War and of course the reknowned Eastern Front.
If you do wish to vote for Pacific Thunder, then please go to the top of the mod page and click "Vote for this Mod". We appreciate every single vote that you place in honour of Pacific Thunder, and also hope you do decide to support Company of Heroes as a whole, and place votes for the named mods above, plus many others (such as Afrika Korps, which I personally believe will be one of the best mods upon release).
I thank you all for your generous support over the past few years, it truly is one of the main things which continues to inspire Company of Heroes (and in general) modders to buck up and complete their mods which they hope to be a success.
Thanks for reading, and once again, click that little "Vote" button at the top of the page to provide your support to Pacific Thunder!
Meh
Lmao you didn't update for more then 3 months and you expect us to vote for your mod ??? I don't want to sound rude but until you show me/us more progress i won't vote, simple as that.
Thanks for the kind words. It's Afrika btw :P
Good luck.
Sanguine, did you actually read it? I specifically said that the votes should go to other mods who have actually made progress and/or is released, rather than our mod which is making progress behind the scenes unknown to the public eye.
Please learn to read before you write such rubbish.
Aidas, didn't I spell it write? I think it does say Afrika?
Oh I see, no korps lol
I didn't know there was a manual or rules about modding that says on what interval a team should post updates. I'm staggered.
I thought everyone knows that mods usually make progress when the dev team has free time, after all, it is just a hobby and no one can really blame them because they haven't focused on it instead of their own real life issues.
Other than that, if you want more frequent updates, maybe you can help their dev team somehow, rather than commit senseless demands in order to guarantee your vote. What a nice follower you guys are(you and the dudes that agree with you).
@WelshManDan
Good luck.
I voted for this mod as well as I voted for many other (CoH) mods.
@blackbishop
You are right! Well, you are developer, so who knows better than you?
It's true some news, show some progress etc. is a good way to get attention or just fill the time BUT the one golden rule about mods is:
IT'S DONE, WHEN IT'S DONE!
So I look forward to this mod and hope in 2012 there will be some time for process!
Good luck and get it on!
