I had much more content for this pack but limitations with the engine prevented a great deal, I hope you can enjoy what was able to be implemented. A multi category project I took on for fun to replace all items in game with sounds when interacting with them within the ruck menu. Another thanks to Haruka Sai for accepting the commission to build the mod with the audio I made.
Requirements and incompatibilities
- Disable item usage animations or you'll hear two audios at once. Annoying
- Not compatible with Mags Redux. Sometimes it will play 1/4th the audio or not at all when unloading.
- Requires both Weapon Parts Overhaul and Modded Exes
Things the mod successfully added
* Maintain parts (cleaning only) sound effects for pistol, SMG, shotgun, and rifle categories.
* Silencer equip and unequip sounds when done within the inventory (drag/drop onto weapon, unequip)
* Equip/unequip sounds for under barrel same as silencer
* Unload ammo from weapon within inventory sounds
* Repair audio when switching out parts in workbench menu
* Disassemble weapon audio
Things intended
*Mags Redux compatibility - passed these files off to RavenAscendant, at his discretion perhaps he will implement it as a update to Mags in the future.
* Warsaw and nato separation for rifles (the game makes no differentiation between those two code-wise and making lists of them will be a compatibility nightmare)
* Parts pick up sound based on weapon (some parts can be on both rifle and pistol etc., so the issue was having to pick some universal pick up sound for each part type)
* LMG-specific sounds (same reason as warsaw\nato stuff, game makes no difference between let's say PKM and AK, creating lists is not a good option)
* Specific weapon sounds like gauss, protecta (including melee and explosive categories) etc. (it's very tedious to do)
* Different sounds for ammo boxes on pick up sound (same issue as warsaw\nato\lmg cases, game just makes no separation for those on code level and it creates modding incompatibilities)
* Fieldstrip sound (no matter what was tried, it doesn't wanna work right)
Things to note - You will get wrong sounds, such as unloading a break action shotgun and hearing a pump cycling sound, it was one sound for all shotguns. Same logic for rifles and pistols, if you hear a racking of a slid on the rex revolver that's just the limitations of the engine and I'm sorry.
All audio intended but couldn't be configured was passed to another modder. At his discretion perhaps he will build Rome and bring what i intended to full fruition.
