The Phoenix Project Software pauses development until September.

Hey everyone, it's been a while since the last good public update and there's a good reason for that.

Since 2017, The Phoenix Project Software have accomplished a lot despite our limited public output. Behind the scenes, lots of experiments with GoldSource and Source have been conducted. I'm immensely grateful to have a capable team willing to dedicate their time to this hobby when they can. TPPS is an absolutely awesome team to be with, and even better to manage and lead. This October, The Phoenix Project Software will be turning 7 years old, which to dramatise a bit, is nearly a decade! We have been working on Half-Life: Zombies Ate My Neighbours and its multiplayer behind the scenes and Half-Life: 28 Days Later is currently in pre-production.

Unfortunately, since the end of June, my personal life has been faced with nothing but bad luck; I lost my job, and my living situation. Thankfully I've got somewhere to stay with family and, I will be able to get my desktop computer running soon. However, this is only temporary as I am currently vigorously jobhunting (which is a nightmare in itself) and soon as I'm employed I'm saving up for a security deposit to rent another house. During this time I will not prioritising TPPS work and all work on ZAMNHL&MP and 28DL is for the most part paused. I'm hoping to resume fully in September but I'm afraid that date is subject to change. My life got completely flipped upside down and my plans absolutely ruined because I trusted horrible, evil people, whom I stupidly thought were nice people and safe to trust. I've learnt a tough lesson this year and I'm slowly but surely moving on from it.

Hopefully in 2025-2026, we will be able to ship Half-Life: Zombies Ate My Neighbours - Part I: Grave, and show you all the hard work we've been doing for the past six years. The team @ TPPS have been a great help and it's brilliant to have them around. When Rafael and I started this company we had no idea the projects would get so ambitious, but we all have a natural urge to keep pushing the limits until there simply are none. Thank you for reading, and understanding, and worry not for the long wait for ZAMNHL & 28DL will pay off.
