Carnivores: Ice Age is a first-person shooter video game. Unlike the previous games, in which the player must hunt dinosaurs, Carnivores: Ice Age allows the player to stalk large Cenozoic mammals such as mammoths and saber-toothed cats.
It is a good game. This time, you will hunt prehistoric mammals. They look good with nice animations and textures. Besides, each animal has a different kill animation when it kills the player! We have snowy maps here (only one doesn't have snow), they are good quality with new textures and objects like plants, trees and props. Weapons are the same ones of Carnivores 2 but retextured to fit with the snowy environment. It is great that they added the supply ship as an optional accessory and also a tenth game animal was added as bonus too (which menu picture remains as a dark shape until the animal appearance is revealed when you unlock it with due points). It is awesome that developers added this feature in menu but it would be better if they made a better quality menu -like the one of Carnivores 1- and not simply that they included the same menus used in Carnivores 2 (but repainted with a different colour). It is not good that the Yeti has the same call sounds used by the Cave Bear. It is a pity that this sequel has 2 ambient animals only- Carnivores 2 has 6 ambient dinosaurs. It is a shame that most animals can't enter the water too. the trophy room is the same one of the previous versions but with snow fall this time (it would be cool if they made a different trophy room). Finally, Carnivores: Ice Age weapons are recycled from previous versions of Carnivores- maybe it's nice to keep some old ones, but I was hoping to see more new weapons for this sequel.
Not a bad sequel/expansion, but it could've been better.
If you want a good Carnivores Mod about hunting Ice Age Animals then go check out Far North, or wait for Ice Age: Redux.
Good but no great
The maps are well made but not as good as the maps in the previous game-Carnivores2 and extremely lack luster when compared to Carnivores1. The animal roster is fine but there are a lot of modern day animals.

but not as good as the previous two games. Feels(and it realy is) a rushed game to meet deadline. Wait till Ice Age Redux comes :)
Interesting idea, good enviroments and setting, but it kinda lacks of interesting animals imo; half of them are awesome, but some others feel the same between themselves, and loosing the "weak spots" from Carnivores 1 makes it a step back at gameplay like Carnivores 2, but as I said, the setting, main animals, the Yeti and stuff like the resupply ship save it.
This game was way to rushed to begin with, the bears behavior was weird, reused bear calls for the yeti, the sniper scope is missing, bland maps, and even the roster was lame etc...
And this is gonna sound weird, but the mobile version of this game actually better because it haves some of the issues fixed (Even though the maps are still bland.) but I still do respect this game for the nostalgia and fun I had with this rushed game.
Doesn't use the Carnivores 2 engine so it has all huntables killing the player and only 2 ambient slots.
