is it still completely unlaunchable? i was really looking forward to playing this mod.
I suspect this mod is unlaunchable/unplayable in 2017? Only just found out that it exists. Would like to play it :(
Using the Source 2013 SDK patch, this mod can be played.
A readme_fix.txt file is included in the 2013 Source SDK patch,
containing detailed instructions on how to install this mod.
I tried downloading the mod by extracting the files to the "sourcemods" section of Steam, but when I try to launch the game via the Steam library, I hear the usual Valve "intro" scene, but stuck staring a white screen. When I try closing the program using task manager, an error pops up, reading:
Can't find background image 'materials/console/blacksnow_menu1_widescreen.vtf'
Please help! :(
i've gotten version 1.0.5 of the mod and updated it with the sdk patch.i boot the mod up,it shows the valve and source logos,the game loads for a split second and then it kicks me back to steam without a reason.
does anyone have an idea on what to do?

It might be because you are not enrolled in the
Source SDK 2013 Singleplayer 'upcoming' beta.
To do this, please follow these instructions:
- Right-click on Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer.
- Go to the "Betas" tab.
- Change "Select the beta you would opt into" option to "upcoming"
- Restart Steam.

The installation procedure is
explained in the file readme_fix.txt
The readme includes links to where to
download the necessary files for installation.
It should be as follow:
- Create a folder named 'BlackSnow' in your Sourcemods folder.
- Download Black snow v1.05 and extract everything
to the 'BlackSnow' folder.
- Download Black snow v1.05 patch and extract everything
to the 'BlackSnow' folder. Overwrite everything when prompted to.
- Download Black snow v1.05 Source SDK 2013 patch and extract
everything to the 'BlackSnow' folder. Overwrite everything when
prompted to.
- Make sure you have installed the 'Source SDK Base 2013
Singleplayer' from the 'Tools' section in Steam.
- Right click on 'Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer'
and click 'Properties'. Go to the 'Betas' section
and select 'upcoming' from the dropdown.
- Restart Steam.

If none of the steps above worked, you could always
attempt to follow the traditional method of fixing
Source engine mods by modifying the Gameinfo.txt file,
as described here.

Since Black show is a HL2 ep2 mod, you should follow
the procedure for HL2 ep2 mods.
It opens up and shows the intro, then after the half life 2 menu loading, then it quits
crashes at the beginning when I kick the cart
Uhh does steam pipe patch has all the patches in it? Or i stil need to download all patches!?

Is this mods still work for HL2:EP2? do i just need texture and models from HL2:EP2?
