As per celebration of the Unreal's 20th Anniversary and anniversary of the UDC (Unreal Design Contest). Called French Level Pack now since those contest maps were selected as "bonus" for download once you finished playing the level 'votlan' included with some limited Unreal editions in France. Thus those maps and some extras, remastered/finished to match the quality of original Unreal maps at the very least. New weapons and items include those planned for the early BotPack when Unreal Tournament was still conceived as an Unreal expansion pack...

Okay, as for the Resurgence stuff. It isn't the Razik powerup here, this was
originally the old UDamage from the times of the developement of BotPack.
It probably originally had a different mesh (perhaps the cut Unreal Artifact), hence the Mark of Chizra name...
It's unchanged from the original code even, so what you get here is the original UDamage as it was meant to be for Unreal Expansion Pack (BotPack).
The "slithlings" are alcapowned's original work and I asked him personally for the vertical mesh versions years ago
and I am using them both in UPSX and here, due to the appearance of slith eggs in one of the original maps.
Plus there was a back-story about slith eggs appearing in the planned expansion pack by Cyberlore. Legend expansion pack was probably an after-thought way after.
Or there was meant to be one by Legend (rtnp) and another by Cyberlore, which was unnamed but featured a civil war setting and more rpg-like approach.
Very interesting information I hope everyone else will love this release as much as I did.
We didn't notice that in the dark/fog honestly. The boat can also be blocked where it returns (non intentional), this however doesn't prevent the map from finish.
This is something I didn't realize until now too. We had way too little betatesters playing through the thing or doing only partial play.
Only two of them played it from start to finish before release which is a shame and two major testers weren't really doing any testing, but it is very hot summer I have trouble keeping up myself.
Played through the whole thing.
Everything is amazing visually flawless.
Beautifull tone and atmosphere.
Great use new pawns Ive not yet seen in action before.
Razik powerup seems pretty much the same as the powerup in Unreal Resurgence same slithlings but thats not necessarily a bad thing.
The soundtracks are beautifull, geometry and textures are stunning.
There is only this one thing that has been bothering a bit.
One of the movers a small boat where you shoot the rope to let it set sail.
On the edges of the boat its seethrough.
Everything else in this release is truly amazing.

The pack is right now in the state of final betatesting, though I have not yet received any feedback from betatesters.
It will be posted once the last issues are ironed out and more people than me and yrex will test it.
I was sad there were no 20th Anniversary packs unlike Quake/Duke3D etc for Unreal, so this is the first step to remedy that.
To take something that was there but being haphazardly placed and obscure so nobody noticed.
Epic was going to release own SP Level Packs but it never happened...
I hope that one day they at least release something from the past.
