I initially wrote this module as a teenager. Consequently, it's atrociously written and loaded with problematic content to the point where the only way to save it is to rebuild from the ground up. The sequel mod "Avid & Apathy", while far from finished, has already surpassed July Anarchy Prologue on so many fronts that I think it's better for everyone to just start there.
Thanks for checking this page out and feel free to get in touch with me if you have feedback about this decision. If there's demand, I'll rebuild this mod with cleaner code and better content.
For anybody who came to this page to download July Anarchy Prologue, I'm sorry to say that's no longer an option.
I've invested a few too many years into this module, taking up much of my late teens and early 20's. While I was proud of what it accomplished, it never delivered the message I set out to say and much of what it does say goes against what I believe now. Most of the code dates back to before I took a single coding class, and as such the only way to fix the horrendous optimization or balance out enemy AI is to rebuild almost everything from scratch.
Therefore, after months of consideration, I've decided to remove this mod from all download sources.
The good news is that the sequel mod "Avid & Apathy", while far from finished, has already surpassed July Anarchy Prologue in just about every way and I intend to support that mod for as long as adult life allows.
Thanks for checking this page out and feel free to get in touch with me if you have feedback about this decision. If there's demand, I'll consider remaking the mod in a much better state.
The completely revamped version of July Anarchy Prologue will finally be playable this weekend!
Guns, guts and heavy metal return to Neverwinter Nights with an all-new spawn system that finally creates the huge, sprawling battles we were aiming for.
The first update in nearly two years brings a brand new boss fight, one major plot change and a much better ending.
Working up to the massive overhaul that 1.3 will be, 1.2.1 focuses on the game's final boss fight and ending.
anybody got a mirror
So far I'm enjoying it quite a bit, I like the amount of work you put into it, and the funny little easter eggs.
Thanks, hope you enjoy the rest!
This mod looks trippy. Looks like I've got a reason to reinstall NWN. Thanks for this mod!
Thanks, hope you enjoy!
1.3 Beta is up. Would love to do some more redecorating but I need to go to bed.
Yeah, so I'm thinking of releasing a beta build of version 1.3. Friday maybe?
Just put up some new game play footage! More on the way.
To put in voice acting or not to put in voice acting...
Good voice acting really adds to the mod, but bad voice acting can ruin the mood... Just found this mod and started playing it yesterday and so far really like it and how you've transformed NWN. Great story and setting. I'm looking forward to 1.3 also, which sounds interesting. Hopefully you'll allow the spawn system to be used in other mods? (if its not too difficult to port to another mod). All in all: Very good work! :-)
Thanks. I'm not too worried about bad voice acting since I do have access to a lot of really good actors that can fill the parts. I'm more worried about how long it will take to record, mix and implement it. On a technical level, version 1.3 is already finished and plays from beginning to end just fine, so I don't want to delay the update too long working on the aesthetic side.
