Attention: This mod needs ''Silent Hill 2: Enhanced Edition'' This is 2X AI Upscale Mod for Silent Hill 2 Expansion, Born From a Wish. This mod is far from perfect. I tested all esrgan models from upscale wiki, but all of them generate terrible results. So I used Gigapixel, wich don't generate good results either, but it's better than esrgan. Maybe it's because of the art style, with all that grunge and abandoned visual. It probably needs to be made a new esrgan model for Silent Hill. Since I used uMod, there is a size limit, I had to stick with 2X upscales.

Man try to use dgvoodoo d3d8 to d3d11 wrapper in combination with special k to dump and reinject textures, it should allow to avoid texture size limitation and also does not require to use any clunky launchers, you can redistribute mod with dll to make it easy to use. The only problem is that enhanced edition creators at some point did mistake when they ditched universal asi loader that allowed to inject as any dll, and forced patch as d3d8.dll, now its hard to chain it with othert graphical injectors, and you have to make few tricks to combine it with dgvoodoo, then with special k and reshade on top. I told them it should be undone, but they did not listen and made life harder, whic is why i stopped making my own AI upscale mod for SH2. I also was using Gigapixel because it gave me better results and also more comfortable to use and see imediately what result you will have and fine tune each texture.
