Star Wars Battlefront III Legacy is a large-scale conversion mod created for Battlefront II using as many recovered assets that are available from the cancelled game Star Wars Battlefront 3 by Free Radical; including both eras (Clone Wars and GCW), a brand-new HUD+Interface and a few converted maps such as Coruscant, Cato Neimoidia, Bespin and Dantooine.

This is a short brief informing you about the current state of development.

The mod is not complete yet. Many things are still missing and some things are still buggy. However I would like to let you know more about the current development state.

The developers/authors of this mod are: El_Fabricio (that's me), [GT]Anakin and jedimoose32.

The first part of the development process is all about the Clone Wars Era, the map itself and the first few game-modes (Like Supremacy, Hero Assault or Team DM).

The first era is about 99% done. Visually, Gameplay-wise and weapon/armory-wise they are pretty much done. Also most of the sounds are complete.

The map is also finished. However I am still willing to add more, necessary props in (As long as the engine allows me to). The map might have a couple of places which need some "adjustments".

The modes are also finished. There are just a couple of things which need to be fixed (Or added..or removed..or edited...).

The second part of development is all about the new HUD, starting/finishing the GCW era+compatible modes (For now only CW works on all modes), the Interface and the Campaign. You heard right. A campaign for both modes are planned and should tell the story of X2 during the battle on Coruscant (CW) and another, free invented story set many years after the Clone Wars (GCW).

The third part of development is all about implementing both eras to all stock maps+some converted bf1 maps+some custom-user created maps.

No other maps are planned to be built. The first release of this mod will contain both eras on all stock+converted BF1 Maps+some custom maps AND this converted Coruscant Map.


By the way some heroes/villains wield placeholder weapons (Such as Darth vader's Lightsaber for all jedi/sith or han Solo's DL-44). The reason why is because some assets are missing/need to be extracted yet. And without these assets...well.

The ground to space combat is something I feel is essential to this mod, would it be possible to make those assets available to the community so we can make more ground to space maps for this mod? Or will the bf2 and bf1 maps have ground to space implemented into them. The beta's ground to space system is amazing and I think the whole community would love to have more than one ground to space map to enjoy. But thanks for this mod, truly amazing work you guys are doing here!
