The Unification main installer.
PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY FOR INSTRUCTIONS!
Instructions for using the installer:
- Download the Unification Core Files,Unification Race Mods and the Unification Installer.
- Have these three files in the same location(usually,it should be your default downloads folder).
- Run the Installer exe and follow the instructions on screen.(Please mind the installer also counts as an uninstaller for any old version of Unification and the race mods as well as allows for installation to the Tyrannids Mod and the DOW Mod Launcher.
- Enjoy!
Instructions for manual installation (intended for Mac and Linux OS users as well as for whoever does not wish to use or can't for whatever reason use the installer):
- Manually delete any old version of Unification and race mods that you may have installed.
- Only download the Unification Core Files and Unification Race Mods archives.
- Unzip both of them directly inside your Dawn of War Soulstorm directory(does not matter which one gets extracted first).
- Make a shortcut of the Unification Campaign Configurator which is inside the extracted Unification_Bugfix folder.
- Copy the Movies folder from the DXP2 folder inside the Unification_Bugfix folder if you wish cutscenes in the campaign to be played(the installer automatically copies them).
- Download and install the latest Tyrannid mod version and DOW Mod Launcher if you have not already.
- Enjoy!

if you have something call a full Installer it should fully install the mod i just spent a entire day trying to get this mod to work i followed the your instructions and i still can get it to work so far this is a 0/10 mod
welcome to modding, where you need to use your brain
Do tell me why tf am I supposed to download 3 different file directories from different sources put them in a certain place and than run them and hope I didn't make a small mistake that would cost me days in downloading I wasted because my internet is both slow and limited . What does it help you being a bunch of douchebags that act like we committed a crime for not knowing how to repackage a mod because the author can't be bothered to put it in one place . I did computer science in college and still can't understand wtf is going on here , let alone the general user so stop acting like it's the easiest thing in the world it's objectively hard and misleading af
You would think that someone with slow and limited internet would understand the difficulties in uploading everything in one go with poor internet service.
There is also the fact that Modb has a 8gb cap per upload and the exe can't compress all of it inside.
There is a reason all big games and programmes have an exe installer and archives that they extract. No different here.
Lastly, even if we could fit all of these files into a single exe(and somehow manage to upload successfully,if Modb and our upload speeds allowed it),there are still people who do not like exes or play from MacOS or Linux,as the game runs on these perfectly fine. So,having the exe as optional is the best course of action.
I think we have made it perfectly clear on both our FAQ and descriptions.I do not see why there is such an issue,
Then upload somewhere without a cap, like, idk, Nexus mods? Moddb is **** and has convoluted UI. Good looking mod, and I will download it if the process ever gets simpler, if I still remember it exists one day. If you want an example of a good packaged mod in a single installer, look up MBII, or the empire at war remake mod. There are tons of examples on how to package files into one convenient exe or .rar/.7zip file, and many videos on youtube you could possibly lookup. It will only help the mod grow.
Well the nexus comment aged pretty poorly didn't it xD
Nexus requires an account to download mods, besides you'd have to pay for a subscription.
untrue. you don't need to pay to download mods. it also has a bult in mod manager. He is right, Moddb is outdated.
Or.. and I know this might be hard to wrap your big brain around...
maybe don't call it a "full installer" if its not actually a full installer? :)
Being obnoxious to people who spent several years making a mod for free isn't going to help you make your point heard.
THİNK MARK THİNK
To be fair he actually makes a good point - and while many of us disagree this didn't deserve negative votes.
I've followed the instructions and still can't get the mod to work. Downloaded each 3 separately, the nids mod installed and the mod manager installed, but the Unification mod is nowhere to be found in game or mod manager
So really looking forward to getting this. I have d/l the 3 files mentioned and move them to the drive which Steam saves the game file. When installing the screen freezes and wont install, have left it for an hour. It looks like it is trying to access google drive but cant, some error about too many people access the resource. Any ideas?
Sounds like you are trying to use the wrong installer. Using the Google Drive installer will try to download the files which is unnecessary if you already have the archive files. Use the Moddb installer instead.
It's all because of this horrid way of managing a mod, why split the whole thing in 3 ,multiple versions for each too, installing this is a nightmare
Not everyone has reliable and fast internet service to upload gigabytes of information in one go smoothly and without issue. Installing this is simple if you are capable of reading English.
Done everything correctly, but still doesn't open.
Just a question do I run Unification Mod New Races or Unification Mod Bugfix?
I tried the manual install method, the mod now appears in the mod manager, but when I click start mod the game loading screen appears for a few seconds then crashes.
Followed the instructions to the letter, but game minimizes on reaching the menu and every time I tab back to it, it minimizes again instantly. Anyone else had similar? I'm stumped.
Don't use this download. For now it's most likely broken as it's not accessing the race files, resulting in a warning of missing files. Use the manual installation files for Core files, then race files. Manually install the patch 591 after. That should fix the issues.
Hey all I ran into an issue. I have the steam version of DoW and when I searched for my DoW directories/folders I couldn't find them to install unification. I am fairly not very computer knowledgable... anyone able to help? I have found my steam folder but no DoW folder?

Hey, I seem to be unable to download the race pack (the one that weights 7,5 gbs) everytime I start the download it fails midway and needs to be wiped and restarted, is there any other source where I could download it?
Cheers
Try the google drive brother
I might be being really stupid but I can't seem to find the download for the Race Files. Can anyone link them?
Moddb.com
Does anyone know what song plays during installation?
It's a remix of the song Heresy by Nine Inch Nails. Youtube.com
Has anyone got this mod to work on Linux using Steam? I've just followed the web of install instructions:
1) Download/extract core files (from drive) into soulstorm directory
2) Download/extract race files (from drive) into soulstorm directory
3) Download/install Tyrannid mod (from link) into soulstorm directory
3a) Download/extract FreeUI into soulstorm directory
3b) Download/extract Objective Points into soulstorm directory
4) Download/extract DOW Mod Manager into Soulstorm directory
Phew, when I load the game I now see the Unification splash screen, but no additional races and no new skirmish settings. Do I need to follow some additional mod configuration to get this working?
Cheers folks
Sick, I've sorted it, just needed to activate the mod under the game manager from within the main menu!!
I may try to install the patch...
I don't know anything about Linux, but if you can it would be much better to launch via the mod manager. You can activate LAA, CPU thread priority and set many settings there as well.

Why is the "full" installer a separate link , why are race files and core files separate , I just downloaded 13gigs just to find they were a bugfixing patch , took me 2 weeks just to find out I need to start all over ,I have ZERO clue what is the actual good files anymore , everyone here acts like I insulted their mothers just for asking questions and I sincerely don't have another two weeks to spend downloading dead weight files and realize I downloaded the wrong thing, again, it would help a tone if instead of spreading all these files all over the internet maybe put it in one folder and upload the link for that , everyone just has to download one folder run the installer and everyone does it the right way and we're all happy, I'm sorry if I'm not as good as all these years old followers that installed the mod already
Only the 5.91 is a patch. the 13gigs *is* the mod.
1) Download "core files"+"new races"+"5.9 installer"+"5.91" patcher.
2) run 5.90 installer, follow instructions.
3) Run 5.91 patcher.
4) ????
5) Profit.

Don't know how people struggled with this install i'm awful at this **** and i got through with no issues.
Cheers for the mod love the attension to detail can't wait to try all the races keep up the good work!
This installer is a mess, I follow the installer instruction to put installer and both core and race file on same folder but not clear that do we need to extract them so the no file installed after I run installer then I try again extract both of them then run installer again but same thing happened no files copied to game folder. So I end up with manual installation method

Am I supposed to extract the archives before running the installer?
