*If you are updating from a previous version, delete the previous version before installing.
Download and extract this .rar archive using WinRAR or an equivalent program.
If you are using the Steam version, you may place the "Halo Wars Scrubb Edition (Mod Version)" folder anywhere. If you have the windows store version, then you must put it here:
C:\Users\*YourUsername*\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.BulldogThreshold_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState
Open the "Halo Wars Scrubb Edition (Mod Version)" folder, then open "ModData" and copy the address/path.
Then if your using steam, go to:
C:\Users\*YourUsername*\AppData\Local\Halo Wars
If you are on windows store, then stay in the LocalState Folder.
Right click, create a .txt file and name it "ModManifest".
Open ModManifest and paste in the address that was copied.
Save ModManifest, and you're done
Example of the mod folder path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\HaloWarsDE\Medstar's HaloWarsDE Mod Manager\HWDE Mods\Halo Wars Scrubb Edition (Mod Version)\ModData
Download and extract this .rar archive.
Download and install Medstar's Mod Manager
Follow the instructions given in the description of the Mod Manager
Place the "Halo Wars Scrubb Edition (Mod Version)" folder in the "HWDEMods" folder
Example of the mod folder path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\HaloWarsDE\Medstar's HaloWarsDE Mod Manager\HWDE Mods\Halo Wars Scrubb Edition (Mod Version)\ModData

A tiny update with a handful of fixes and additions, primarily released to fix an instability issue when using Random All.

Is there gonna be a major update in the future? Feel uber units are a tad too uber. Or perhaps its just the Pelican Gunship. Could maybe cut it's tankyness by half along with it's pop & resource cost. Also hope you add at least a few more starting units like the Hornets for the fourth campaign mission. Other than that, great work!
I Love the mechanics and new units this mod brings to the table. I Just wish the models for vehicle drivers and infantry were the same in quality as the Leader Overhaul or More Leaders mods changed models.
It'll get there one day when I revamp the vanilla leader rosters. That's when I plan on swapping out pretty much all of the vanilla unit models.
I'm glad to hear that because the vanilla models lack a lot of detail.
In case it helps in the future I did try to use the models from the Leader Overhaul mod but ran into issues with the majority of the infantry in Marine and ODST squads. The animations for firing their weapons were stuttering.
I don't know what is causing the issue precisely but from what I can tell its probably incompatibility between the animations and the squads assigned weapons.

I'm late to the party and only just got myself a copy of the game. Can someone confirm what this mod actually does? The description doesn't cover it...
In its current state its more of a vanilla+ since a lot of the vanilla content is still intact. Later today (if nothing comes up) I plan on releasing another update that is admittedly quite overdue
is it possible to change the scrab to work the way the vanilla scrab does because the scrab main beam doesnt look that good and sometimes the scrab shoots behind itself
I don't have any plans on reverting the change to the beam, as I am not a fan of the vanilla beam mechanics. Although, I have modified the projectile to look much better then it currently does in the released version.
just wondering are you able to make a video or know a video on youtube or other sites like it to do a guide on downloading all the things needed and making a mod or editing a mod for private use such as spartan cap, editing skulls to give buffs to certain factions
