Have a look at the TWC webpage - there are information entries devoted to almost each facet of the game.
You can play Sweden in the BtfB mod for the Stainless Steel
This is not related to the mod, it's the M2TW interface. You must have hit the spacebar. Hit it again, and the armies will walk slowly as before. You may stop them any time by hitting backspace.
Come to the TWC webpage, maybe you'll find a solution there.
No late era. The next update should be withing month or a few months - but it won't be revolutionary.
They come gradually and slowly. An important reform (Heavy Mail) is triggered around turn 140 - new units for many factions, but in general, the units come at different times for different factions.
The building of farms represents the process of the economic development of a province. It should be long for gameplay purposes. If you want to compare it to a cathedral, just imagine thousands or hundreds of thousands of farms - and one cathedral :-)
I agree many units in the Russian mods are better. We've got part of them updated, many are still old. We'll try our best, provided there's time left.

Yes, they do.
Hi, if you could make this comment on our TWC webpage, we could have a discussion. It's our main communication channel, more people would be able to have a look - and you could learn that changes for the Military Orders are on the way :-)

Refer to the TWC webpage, there's a thread on such issues.
I wouldn't foresee it for a few months. But you may have a look at the TWC website to see what's in the pipeline.
It interferes with the Med2 family mechanics (no more children with the high number of generals) plus it's very much intentional (the generals are a parameter of the game: their limited number forces the player to make hard choices).
Just a minor note: you can play at lower than Very Hard difficulty - then the whole mechanics of the additional unrest in the settlements due to the player's aggressivity is switched off. At difficulties lower than Hard also additional unrest in the non-core settlements after a conquest is switched off.
