I can't get Unlimited Addon to work. I've tried everything. Verify, copy color schemes, try various modded and vanilla races ... nothing works.
Can you look into that?
edit: Downloaded now and it works? I tried multiple times reinstalling, everything in the book. And now it works all of the sudden? Maybe a random corruption happened, who knows? The download file is the same as thus morning - I know because it has a number in brackets. Like "Unlimited Addon".rar(2).

It crashes. 7.1 works perfectly, but this crashes. I tried changing to it from within the game and got the "failed to activate the requested game" message.

I have an issue(from time to time):
Sometimes vehicles appear as only tracks and turrets and buildings as their shadows. Usually, shortly after that, a sort of strobe effect happens. Then I minimize the game and everything starts working fine.
It just happened recently when I played Vostroya(really love that one, but that's besides the point) + IG vs SoB + SM.
What could that be about?
Regardless, Dreads are (more than) an ok choice for 2nd, but I am not completely sold that should be the 2nd. Walkers seem more like 5th. Even the official description of 2nd is "It boasts huge formations of battle tanks and favors mechanized assaults".
What is your opinion on Plagueburst Crawler?
edit: All other Companies are perfect and are no longer 1 trick ponies that overly rely on Havocs. In fact, Havoc drop might be a 6th thing now.

How is 2nd meant to be played? How have you envisioned it? What do experienced DG players use when picking 2nd Co? Before I say anything more about this, I want to hear more.

On the whole, I have to say that DG is (at least somewhat) weaker than it was, but as an upside, it is also much more fun to play.

They really don't neeed more, every other Company is perfect right now(great job!). Ok, I would love to have Typhus(...) in 6th, but that's about it. Oh, I have a question. About the order of these artillery pieces.
What truly separates Plagueburst from a Griffon(those sidearms can't be it, they deal next to no damage -> bug)? Both are mechanized mortars, are they not? Maybe the right choice would be: (tiers in brackets) PBC(2nd) -> PBC upgrades + Whirlwind(3rd) -> Relic Mega Whirlwind(4th)?
I noticed something like that with the Lord Regent. He was shooting his shotgun and all was fine except that pellets were going in the wrong direction.
None of them jump. And one of them has not only a setup time, long reload, but also only 400 health. And four members. And is hard capped to 1 squad. Not to mention that in lore, they aren't exactly snipers, just elite stealthy troops.
Regardless, that is my final thought until eventually. RG Snipers don't feel that good to use.
With that said, I am not looking at them in a group, but more in a vacuum. They(Snipers) are alright in a real compo, but still debatable whether truly worth using.
True. Snipers should feel like Snipers though.
It gets in the way of me enjoying Raptors Chapter. They are known for their reasonable ways and that means a lot of snipers etc. Why waste 1000 bullets on a cultist when 1 - 2 will do?
They are quite micro heavy, yes. But not in the way of Fleet of Foot, but choosing what to activate and when etc. They can be powerful, but they just leave me dissatisfied. For an army that should be, in design, SM + Eldar and that means, yes, Hard Counters. They don't feel HC at all. Also, Scouts having too similar stats to a typical scout is unfortunate due to them being PRIMARIS Scouts.
It's mostly the performance of Snipers vs Commander armor. RG Snipers in general tbh. Which is quite unfortunate when you have them on Scouts(HBs are a much better upgrade vs any Infantry), on Sternguard(just upgrade as needed ; Stalker Pattern is just not satisfactory) and Mor Deythan(not much you can do ... until T4).
Amidst all the cool additions(Vostroya, Praetoria, Psychos, FSE etc) ... RG just feels like it can't really use one of things it's known for(Snipers).
Also, the space ruskies(Vostroya) are AMAZING. I LOVE their artillery defense playstyle(among others) - Stheno + Mortar + Gun Lugger = massive <3. Beautiful music choices for them too. Feels giga heroic, yet somber.

Give credit where it's due.
It's just strange to me that Mor Deythan(and other RG snipers tbh) deal such a low damage to what should usually be their targets: leaders and other high priority targets. It's a sniper, you know? If there's a weapon that says "single target"(besides Volkites and Lascannons), it is a sniper rifle(of whatever form).
Farsight Enclave Ranged Crisis Suit acts strangely when upgraded with Flamers(and other short ranged weapons). They simply stand back, shooting those missiles while wasting HUGE dps from Flamers(and most likely Fusion Blasters too).
Something to look at?
I have a question about the Raven Guard. And their sniper units. It feels like they don't deal enough damage to Commanders. Aren't Mor Deythan(in specific) supposed to be on the Vindicare level(debatable, but should still be very skilled)? Regardless, it feels kinda wrong to have a fusillade of Snipers firing on a Commander only for it to deal like 400 damage(MD + 2x Stalker Stern max size). What do you think?
Otherwise, a truly awesome addition! Not only are RG super fun themselves, but I also got Reasonable Marines(Raptors) as part of a deal. Awesome!
Not necessary, but:
Why are Fallen (Vrax) General's clothes kinda plastic? They have a sheen to them, can anything be done about it? Otherwise perfect model(the best part of Vrax imo ; the Charisma is through the roof!) is kinda brought down by that.

Could be. Thing is, they are actually quite different in their playstyle. One is World War 1 "Trench Rows"(Krieg) while the other is World War 2 "Mech Blitzkrieg"(Armageddon).
There is place for both of them.
