Emblems 1

C&C Power Play is a total conversion mod where you simply build your own army to fight against your enemies, each unit possessing its own quirks and abilities that if used right, can turn the tide of battle and bring you the hard-earned victory.

Choose from one of the five factions to play with: Swiftly secure the area as Solisia, crush any oppositions as Vulkan, stand your ground as Fulgura, overwhelm your enemies as Lamina, or set the battlefield on fire as Infernus.

It all started with a simple idea of wanting to make tanks, then Zeke_Dlyoung from NLS - No Life Studios pitched in the idea of making a building to produce these units, paving way to the creation of the mod you are looking at right now.

This is C&C Power Play, a simple total conversion where your goal is to destroy the enemy forces with your army, while stopping your enemies from doing the same.

As of version 1.7, you start off with a single building, where you will have to choose right away between producing a few vehicles, or take your time to build your infrastructure for more powerful army later on. From there, you will be able to tier up, granting you access to more powerful units. Don't think you can just use a Tier X unit and win the game, though; each units have its own strengths and weaknesses, and in some case, even Tier 1 units will fare better than its more advanced counterparts (though do note that Tier X units are made to be powerful for a reason).

You will also regularly receive money in a fixed rate as time goes on, but relying on your Command Center alone won't be enough. There are three ways to fix that: kill your enemies, capture supply docks and piles, and build more War Factories to produce more income.

There are 5 factions in this mod:

  • Solisian units are agile and bursty, but they are lightly armored and expensive.
  • Vulkanic units are tough and powerful, but they are very slow and expensive.
  • Fulguran units are durable and generally has range advantage, but they are relatively weak in firepower, and slow to produce.
  • Lamini units are agile, cheap to produce, and can be easily spammed, but they are weakly armored and lack sustained damage.
  • Infernal units possess flame weapons and generally has range advantage, but they are fragile, slow in production, and their flame weapons can hurt themselves.

Special thanks to NLS - No Life Studios for helping me numerous times in terms of coding, as well as SWR Productions for letting me borrow a lot of their assets. The mod is built upon the SDK found here, so the credit goes to them as well. The mod also makes use of ControlBarPro, which is made by Xezon and Fas.

A lot of sounds, background cameos, and musics are taken from various sources, the credit goes to their respective owners.

Emblems 1

--------------------
CHANGELOG V.1.7
--------------------

- This update brings new features for each of the factions to make them more unique from each other, as well as new buildings for them to produce units from.
- With the implementation of the new buildings, units now take longer to produce in order to decrease the risk of lagging the game.

GLOBAL:
- All suicide units (except Doomsdays) now uses "ARMOR_PIERCING" damage type, meaning they now deal 50% damage to Command Center, and full damage to other structures.
- All Command Centers now has its own variants of defense mechanism:
-- Solisia fires a fast-moving projectile that deals heavy damage.
-- Vulkan fires a cannon that revs up in speed the longer it attacks.
-- Fulgura fires an EMP projectile that disables enemy vehicles.
-- Lamina fires a fast-loading cannon.
-- Infernus fires a volley of shells at its location.
- All factions now has its own unique take on "Artillery Cannon" special power:
-- Solisia fires a heavy projectile that deals heavy damage every 4 minutes.
-- Vulkan fires a small but stackable projectile every 4 minute.
-- Fulgura fires an EMP projectile that disable vehicles upon impact every 2 minutes.
-- Lamina fires a small projectile every 1 minute.
-- Infernus fires a flaming projectile that creates a firestorm upon impact every 2 minutes.
-- These Artillery Cannons deal "ARMOR_PIERCING" damage, which is 50% effective to Command Center, and 100% to other structures.
- Adjusted the number of vehicles spawned via "Ambush" special power:
-- Increased Solisian vehicles number from 2/4/6/8 to 4/5/6/8.
-- Increased Vulkanic vehicles number from 2/4/6/8 to 2/4/5/6.
-- Increased Fulguran vehicles number from 2/4/6/8 to 4/5/6/8.
-- Increased Lamini vehicles number from 2/4/6/8 to 4/8/12/16.
-- Increased Infernal vehicles number from 2/4/6/8 to 4/5/6/8.

- All factions now possess its own version of production building that can be built by its dozers. Each faction now has different means of producing its units.
-- Solisia can only produce Prophet, Zealot, Crusader and Cupid from its Command Center, with everything else (including aforementioned units) needing to be produced at its War Factory.
-- Vulakn can only produce Standard Whiplash and Super Heavy Tanks (Pugnax and Ultima) from its Command Center, with everything else needing to be produced at its War Factory.
-- Fulgura can produce all units from its Command Center, as well as its War Factory.
-- Lamina can produce all units from its Command Center, but one of its production building (called the "Rat Nest") can only produce Rats and its specialized variants. Alternatively, it can also build its own War Factory with a bigger cost.
-- Infernus can only produce Tier 1 units (Termite and Scarab) from its Command Center, with everything else (including aforementioned units) needing to be produced at its War Factory.
- Several hotkeys has been remapped to accomodate new buildings and dozers, as well as restructuring of the commandset for some of the factions.
- Tech hospital is now indestructible and has the same functionality as the repair bay.
- Reverted the veterancy system; units will now gain health, fire rate, and weapon damage bonus by 125/150/200 percent respectively.
- All AI difficulties now use the same script, with each level having innate buffs to their damage and health from 100/110/150% respectively.
-- NOTE: the Brutal AI is now well, very brutal, possibly on the line of impossible. This is intended for those people who prefer playing with max money to start off, where you will find it hard to fight these even then.

so no air units and no ifantry,to be honest ifantry is pretty weak overall in most rts games,so the mod is essentially tank wars?not gonna lie i wam willing to try it again does it have artillery or something?

It does have artillery, as well as what I would call "tank destroyers".

The AI economy bonus could probably use some nerfing. Tried a game of vs 7 Brutal just for fun. They were building so much stuff that the game was running at like 10 frames per second, and the AI all have $999999.

The absurd amount of stuff AIs build will be reduced and they will no longer have unlimited money (granted they will still have quite a lot).

I'd like to make a recommendation for an addon to remove the memey audio aspect of the mod. hearing that one guy scream because a tank got hit by one of my tanks (not sure which one) is a little annoying after the first 10 times it happens.

It will be removed in the next version, since I do think it can get a little annoying and makes the funnier one less funny.
