This is the v1.10 update for Harbinger by Silverback Entertainment. This was the final official update for the game.
General
1: I have installed the v1.10 patch and in the Harbinger Configuration Tool, there are some new options for Light Mapping, Swap Texture Stages, Swap Map controls and Mouse sensitivity. What are they for?
A1: Light-mapping (can be turned on or off) - Provides higher quality lighting that may be unsupported, or perform poorly, on some video cards. By disabling this, Harbinger will use point lights exclusively. This may improve performance, but at the expense of overall image quality.
Swap Texture Stages (can be turned on or off) - Swaps which hardware stage performs the light-mapping. This may correct the green box bug experienced on certain video cards.
Swap map controls - Changes the direction the map scrolls when using the arrow keys.
Mouse sensitivity - You can adjust the speed of the mouse cursor within the game.
Gameplay
1: There is no sound in the game. How can I correct this?
A1: Run the Harbinger Config Tool which can be found by clicking START then PROGRAMS then DREAMCATCHER then HARBINGER then HARBINGER CONFIG TOOL. Within here you can change different sound options.
HINTS
Refer to the Readme file which came with Harbinger. The readme contains valuable information which can help you defeat Harbinger.

Thank you very much for the patch! Harbinger is such an atmospheric game, I already played it on release 20 years ago and now replaying it!
There is one problem with the patch though:
When I install the patch then the game no longer starts (the Harbinger.exe), without the patch it works fine (when set to Windows XP2 compatibility).
I have the only available version, the digital one from GamersGate [1], it is the unpatched version. Does the patch maybe only work with the old CD-ROM release version? Thank you very much for advice!

Yes it only works with the CD version. For some reason GamersGate's version only uses the 1.0 build of the game. Which has bugs that were fixed by this patch. (The Mine/camera bug in particular is extremely annoying and was fixed by this patch). In-order to use this patch with the GamersGate version you additionally need to use a nocd crack.
Thank you for your help - that explains why all my attempts with different compatibility modes, etc. did not work!
I actually bought Harbinger 3x by now, lol! I still have the German CD version, but none of my PCs/Laptops has a CD drive anymore, so I bought the Gamersgate digital version too.
Does the final Harbinger patch that you uploaded (many thanks again for doing it) also work with the German CD version?
BTW: Kind of ironic that a "nocd crack" is needed to play a game that one has bought several times. Always bought every single game that I played (it is important to support developers), so do not even know where to get such things.
BTW2: The GamersGate release is sloppy, they did not include the final patch and also not the manual (which had nice lore text). Will ask them to include both for future players who buy it there...
"Gaming history" did not treat this game and the developers well, I read through many of the old and interesting interviews with the devs, they were very enthusiastic and dedicated. I am currently making a proper "longplay" for YT because the few that are there do not even have a correct aspect ratio. The game deserves better treatment.
I dont know if it works with the German release.
The Patches Scrolls still has downloads for the other language patches Patches-scrolls.com
Thanks again, it works!
It is good that we had the conversation in the comments section of your upload, so future players of the GamersGate release will know why the patch does not work for them...
Funny detail:
I thought that the patch would get rid of the "green letterbox bars on the top and bottom" in cutscenes and make them black. It does not - so it seems that it was a (strange) design decision to have these green and not black - do not remember how it was when playing it on release 2 decades ago?
