Generate, Explore, Conquer, Unlock, Repeat

In the procedurally generated universe of Successor, a small preset of Campaigns will contain small story elements introducing the universe, but you must also generate your own adventures with the Campaign Generator to get access to a universe full of undiscovered challenges and mysteries waiting to be revealed.

Here, you unlock new content by completing various challenges, such as heroes, abilities, biomes, weapons, equipment, and enemy factions, and use this to create new campaigns that fit the conditions for discovering and unpacking even more of the universe.

The initiative is always yours

Immerse yourself in the heart of battle, where real-time engagement flows seamlessly yet grants you the strategic edge to always pause and orchestrate tactical maneuvers on the battle board or unleash your party's abilities.

Successor ingeniously merges real-time and turn-based combat, providing an ever-engaging system that demands quick thinking while allowing substantial tactical depth.

Diorama landscapes are full of tactical options

Scrutinize the battle boards to strategize your winning tactics using pickups like healing herbs and throwing rocks. Control the high ground, occupy archer towers, or flank the enemy to gain the tactical advantage.

Pay attention to the environments, such as swamps, snow, and sand, which affect the unit's ability to move or fight or can be used as deadly traps to turn the tide in a critical situation quickly. Even the weather conditions can act as a friend or foe when the rain puts out fires and Thunderstorms start them.

Lords & Heroes

At the start of each adventure, you can choose between three unique Lords with their own combat style and skill trees. Each will give you a significantly different tactical and strategic point of origin.

The lord alone is not enough. You must build a party of battle-hardened heroes and weaponize them to face the challenges ahead. Choosing the right heroes and tools for the job is essential; do not put archers against skeletons or mages against bloaters.

As you play the universe, you will unlock & uncover new heroes, abilities, weapons, and equipment that will gradually increase your chance of survival as you undertake more dangerous adventures.
