In 2020 I opened the archives, started a Youtube channel and started a mission to bring Legacy back into the spotlight.

Hi. There really is a small base of us that love STLegacy, we still play, and some still release STL gameplay videos on Youtube! It would be a tremendous help if we could get some instructional videos/tutorials on using the modding tools, map editor, mission editor etc.

Hi Olly! It thrills me to know that your modding skills learned working on Legacy actually had a hand in "modding" your career path in a positive manner. I know it's hard to believe, but there are some really die-hard lovers of Legacy, and even a new generation sect that still play and hope that CJG will keep it's promise and come out with an "entirely new version" of Legacy or at the very least an updated one! My personal idea I'd like to see revamping of the space maps. The space maps should be like the original Microsoft Flight Scenery. Each map unit could be stitched to other units-dynamically loaded so you could literally fly from one sector into the next! But i digress....

I realize you have a full time occupation now, and a lot of responsibility, and haven't touched anything to do with Legacy in many years, BUT (here comes the wishful thinking) there's so much to Legacy that we never had a chance to explore, simply because there were never any tutorials nor instructions to guide us. For example, I have never seen anything on how to do the planet conquer. There's no clear cut description of how to make a ship from scratch to be played in Legacy. Nor how to use the Mission Editor or compile missions. I know it was done with Visual C++ but I have now clue as to how! I personally have a project I'm working on where I take a starbase, and add to it a shipyard, so you literally fly your ship into the starbase to repair it. I know it's a lot to ask, but I'm just gonna throw this out there. Could you make tutorial on how to create a ship or starbase? I'd really like to learn how to make a mesh with Blender and import it into Legacy.

Any help, tutorials, instructions, suggestions, or old files you could throw my way would be greatly appreciated!!!!!
