I like how his sights are set for something crazy like 600-800m. Can't even see stuff at that far.
You can try and Flash boot or USB boot, but I wouldn't recommend it.
Just install a small/low resource distro and it should play fine.
Damn, I remember playing Sauerbraten and Assault Cube all day; top that off with a little Wolfenstein:ET multiplayer and the day was gold.
Great work :)
Are you exited for the new Star Wars Battlefront?
You should post some more in-depth details on your page; because so far I only know that you need a mapper and a coder to work on a game... There are many questions that need to be answered. Please add a brief synopsis, to tell people a bit about what exactly you are striving to achieve.
If they had wanted to do a Spanish Civil War mod they would've done that.
Working alone means that you don't have any deadlines, which alleviates most of the pressure that working on a project can bring; no deadlines also gives you time to perfect things the things that might irritate you. But I prefer 5-10 people to dev with, just to get things done more efficiently.
You said it; It's like go all the way or go home.
Seeing the shells cycle is always cool, it just takes more work to model; but it's not broken, so no need to fix it ;)
100x100 isn't bad as the player models take up nearly the entire screen; that's how I won tournaments with friends in Counter Strike, and it still works pretty well today :)
You seem to be bored a lot; and are those grass blades individually rendered?
I noticed the Breaking Benjamin pic, hope you're as exited as I am that Ben is making music again :D
I hope you enjoy the *games* on it.
That looks like a 3MFR M-40 gas mask if I am not mistaken. Back in Camp Lemonnier we had to do drills with those at the school in case of a gas attack or temporary explosive fallout; those damned things were so hard to breathe with I would have just preferred taking my chances knowing what to do in a hazardous situation than having to wear that thing for 8 hours. Still though, I wouldn't have traded those years for the world X)
The PSP scene is one of the more disliked modding communities for a variety of reasons; The main reason that the populace is inactive is the lack of developers for a dying system, which is understandable as the system is relatively old. I wouldn't say, "Hate" the scene, it's more so that I like others more.
Matchmaking and Single-player were being worked on, but development stopped before anything was either leaked or released. As far as I know, only one dev still holds some of the most recent assets.
Here are some old links. The game never had an official release, so all I can do is offer some leaks:
First State// Mediafire.com
Newer State// Mediafire.com
Ha! It looks like every apartment I've ever had!
It's nice to see how much progress you are making in such a short period of time, I can't wait to buy it :D
We've all seen how that worked out for the CS:GO console version with the KB:M option :/
Looks like Aliens meets Turok sort of deal, keep up the good work ;)
What's the price range we're looking at here?
Nice! Even so, voice acting isn't something you should think on too much; but if the kickstarter is successful, then go right ahead ;)
