Metal parts are extremely shiny. You can see that even at preview.
It's so shiny comparing to original. Maybe HDR issue.

At first I was afraid this one would be infested with variations of the Beta map. Surprised there are literally none.
Concrete Xen - simple and nice.
White Lies - conceptual one. TBH can't say much about it.
Mt. Spiun - basically doesn't represent theme of competition.
Trial Technology Testing Simulation - well, nice puzzles, I guess.
TWISTEDSENSE - I don't get that one. But map was nice.
Interception - very solid mapping and gameplay. But "Vertigo" part was weak.
Shootingdown - well that was a map of competition.
Cold Hard Steele 4 - CHS always delivers. Definitely the best in batch. Gameplay, level design, theme - all on the level. But hard.
Surprised by amount of "unfinished backgrounds". Like "Yeah, nothing beats flat grass texture".
And while at it I found couple bugs.
Grubs are completely silent. Idling or dying.
Judy doesn't talk.
When in doubt - reupload.
Time for replay!
But why do it 6 years later to a mod?
No save point at start of a level/map is a bizarre gameplay decision.
The absence of classic auto/quicksaves with broken balance (comparing to HL) does not make experience pleasant.
What is it even now?
I understand this is a demo but maybe postpone any releases until dealing with crashes?

Расстояние между полем и барьером маловато. И само поле врубается внезапно. Надо триггер поправить. В первый раз меня прямо им убило, потому что ехал медленно.
Нет никаких подсказок, что делать в контейнере после убийства сталкера. Использование пилона вместо хоть какой-то кнопки - необъяснённая механика.
К слову о кнопках - зелёные кнопки на первой карте, которые вроде что-то делают, но на деле ничего - смысловой мусор.
На второй карте так и не понял, как преодолеть первое поле. Бегал из угла в угол, всё нажимал. Возможно, надо было опять жмякать пилон.
Комната с газом. Носит из стороны в сторону. Возможно, так и задумано, но удовольствие сомнительное.
Турели. Турели повсюду. Я бы поуменьшил.
Понравилось поведение врагов. Действительно напрягают.

The Wayder Residence - too much of "THE UNKNOWN" can't outshine the lack in other departments.
DATA_RETRIEVED - a very classic sci-fi horror in space. And I'm saying it in a good way. The only thing I wish was more developed before last seconds was "imitating speech" part.
CODE_LOCK_EXPUNGE - storywise, there is no horror. Nice one but misses the mark of competition for me.
SUBJECT - uuh, cinematic. Unfortunately it promised more than delivered. The intro dialogue gave me the most enjoyment.
The Haunted Dive - I would prefer no enemy encounters in this competition. And no TBC endings in general. But I'm all for SOMA vibes.
HEATDEATH - ******* mazes.
The Pit - bonus entry at it's finest.
Visitor - exactly what I expected from this mappack.
Overall DR is the best with mapping, atmosphere, giving lore through notes (while foreshadowing). Visitor is a golden standard where mapping, gameplay and theme are at the proper level. SUBJECT and HD both have great opening.
It's like this mod made out of spite to those who would play it.
