Sadly my game simply crashes whenever I try and start a new game.

Might be a windows 11 thing? Might be the new bug fix? Hard to tell.

When I install with Item overhaul's patch last, artefact icons are missing, and when I install with Artefact expansion's patch last, the item overhaul icons are missing or incorrect. To be clear, this is with just the three vanilla mods, not your mod pack. The mod pack works fine, I'm just more looking for an experience with a more toned down vanilla-ish death-generic.ltx

Can you reveal how you managed to get AO3, items overhaul, and Artefact expansion to all work together correctly? I've installed the mods and patches in a lot of different orders and I keep getting the UI icon problems you mention.

Installs the same way as Mental Omega, so if you look up how to install that one, should work for this.

A cool dude by the name of theRealBeef made some cool shader-based night vision goggles you might like. Feels like it would match the higher quality feel of your mod.

Do you still have the files for making the m4 butcher sights 3d? I'd love to be able to use them in this latest version.

PSA: You can't just run the mod from the x64 executable. You HAVE to make a shortcut and add "-steam" to the end of the target field in order for the game to run. Regardless of how anything with steam is configured already.

Heya Demosfen, big thanks for the mod, from what I've gotten to enjoy.

I'm having a problem with the download, I believe. Whenever I instruct 7zip to extract the files, it does so correctly; however, whenever I do so with the second or third .part of the file, 7zip displays an error in the log concerning one of the .bin files. I don't think my issue is with knowing how to extract the files properly, because I get the game to install properly, but I think my install get corrupted or some of the files are lost in download, because the game crashes at strange moments, along with missing some dialogue files.

Some instances where the game has crashed (uncharacteristically of the Call of Chernobyl base game) were when travelling to cordon from any other level, and when starting a helicopter mission for the military. These crashes persisted every time I tried to repeat the task, even after starting a new game. Furthermore I was getting an interesting bug where, in cordon in the rookie village, after accepting the task from sid to collect monolith patches, monolith soldiers would start spawning in the Rookie village, and be hostile only to me (not any of the loner stalkers).

I have tried re-downloading multiple times and gone through multiple installations. I'm 90% sure that the issue is files failing to download properly. Any ideas for a good fix?
