What an amazing experience! Everything about this mod is perfect. I always enjoy mods that are set parallel to the main plot of Half-Life (meaning starting in the Black Mesa right before the disaster). It's also quite lengthy. I loved the sense of humor this mod has to offer. Definitely worth the time!

It has no story, but I had fun playing it through. Although, the level design could use more lighting. Though the mod is still worth a shot.

This mod offers a lot of the classic Half-Life action without much of a story. Generally, the mod is good. Some of the areas in the mod are uniquely designed.

I encountered one bug, though. While I was in the area with the machine guns firing from the towers, I entered the storage room with ammo and an HEV charger, returned back and when the game was about to start firing one of the machine guns, it crashed. Destroying the machine guns before heading to the storage room fixed the problem and the game worked fine.

This is a well-made mod, which also includes some custom stuff. The author's approach in designing the levels is rather original, the level design has many unique features. The mod also has good FPS action to offer, and no boring parts.

I would describe this as "highly customized Half-Life", though it is nothing like other mods offering classic Half-Life action. Todesangst 2 is unique in every way. The storyline is thought-through, and the author obviously made a lot of effort in creating every aspect of this mod as good as possible. I have to say that the author's approach in the second part of the Todesangst "series" changed a lot and mostly in good ways, but there are many similarities between both parts of the "series". I definitely recommend playing this mod.

This is truly a breathtaking custom story. The greatest feature is the map design, which is exceptionally beautiful. The gameplay style wasn't exactly to my taste, though the playthrough was a great experience. All the puzzles are very challenging and sometimes it is difficult to recall where the room the player needs to get into actually is, due to the huge maps. The first two chapters were awesome, though the last one was a bit boring. In any case, I'm giving it a well-deserved rating of 10.

I don't understand how anyone can give this custom story a low rating. This custom story is unique and unlike any other. Excellent story line, exceptional map design, original and very challenging puzzles and finally, it's lengthy. Let's sum up pros and cons of this custom story.

Pros:
+ exceptional level design, actually one of the best I've seen so far
+ original and challenging puzzles
+ long gameplay time
+ amazing atmosphere
+ good story
+ walkthrough is available at the mod's moddb.com website (extremely useful)

Cons:
- oil is rare (I suggest playing in a dark or shady room, or in a room with the blinds down)
- the monster in the west wing is very annoying (the map that connects to the library)

The only bad thing about this custom story is the monster in the west wing. It respawns every time the player dies. With all the doors smashed, it creates a challenge to get to the upper (or the lower) floor, and I don't even mention trying to solve a puzzle with the monster chasing you. If you make another custom story - do not create this situation again. It ruins the entire map.
Another thing I didn't quite like was the rarity of oil. I don't criticize it, though, it's the way you decided to have it in your custom story. Although, with all the challenging puzzles around, it would be nice to have more oil.

In general, you did an amazing job creating this custom story, and I'll make sure to play another one of your custom stories, if you make a new one.

This is a nice, well-made custom story, definitely worth playing.

This custom story has unique design, which I really liked, but unfortunately, I cannot rate it any higher. There is only one problem in this custom story - the dark areas make this custom story barely playable. I understand this could be a nice feature, but if you decided to disable the "Amnesia cat vision" in dark areas, then adding a lantern (or possibly a flashlight) is compulsory.

A sweet little custom story. It's nothing special, but it's definitely worth playing.
