Welcome back. Today, I'm going to talk about the pointless goals found in games, known as "achievements". Specifically, Jastian Summer achievements. I'm sure Rombom will get mad at me for posting about parts of the development process he does not approve of, but oh well. Nobody gives a sāāā what he thinks.
When I'm thinking of achievements, I usually look at one of the demos I recorded of me playing a map. For example, there's this one that I actually released to the public:
Right away, a bunch of grubs run out at the player. But they don't do anything else. Hey, why not make a pointless achievement where you need to kill hundreds upon hundreds of them?
Debugger - Squish 666 grubs with your feet
Something like that.
Or maybe I'm feeling like the person who made the "use only one bullet in Half-Life 2: EP1" achievement. So why not disallow the player from walking forwards? Same thing, right?
Backward Thinker - Complete every mission in the game without walking forward
How about something stupid, like staring at a plant for an hour. Everyone loves to do that, right?

And sometimes I like to insult stupid people like you.
