Put the swarmdirector2 folder inside C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\sourcemods. If you don't have a sourcemods folder, make one. You might need to restart Steam for the mod to show up.
I'd demonstrate on a map with func_asw_fade ceilings.
If there was one. :(
SD2 v1 contained a bunch of custom campaigns. SD2 v2 has bugfixes for custom campaigns implemented in C++ and the campaigns are downloadable separately.
Each player can set asw_controls separately, so you can have one person playing an FPS and another person playing a 60 degree arcade shooter in the same server.
You need to extract the folder to your sourcemods, not just the contents. You should be able to salvage this by renaming your sourcemods folder to swarmdirector2 and then making a new sourcemods folder and dragging the swarmdirector2 folder into it.
Are these screenshots stretched at all? They look like they used to be taller or something. Especially the top two.
They can do Landing Bay on their own :)
Three wishes:
1. Bots in PvP modes, even if their AI is just "run to nearest marine and fire weapon at them".
2. Up the squad size to 8 to allow me to go on a singleplayer mission with 8 marines.
3. Fix the "playing swarm (mod)" thing when looking at friends playing Reactive Drop.
Right now, there's a tracer every fourth bullet.
We would require source code access, and the $50 price tag is a lot considering we want to make a free mod.
is this update real or what? Most of the updates just feels like April oneth.
Yes, it's real.
If you have something usable, I'll use it :)
Yes. But don't tell anyone. It's a secret.
Uploading the video seems to have made the audio sound crappy and out of sync. here's the original if anyone wants it: Ge.tt
I'm a solo dev because the rest of my team slacks off.
Whoa, I took a nap and then...
STEVE, WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?
I believe the instructions specifically say to not link games to mod news posts. The boxes below the post should only have your mod selected when you're posting news.
Not the most impressive scenery, but I see (and like) where you're going with this.
They would probably work with a fair bit of tweaking, but modding Alien Swarm gives us access to a newer version of the engine and allows us to make it a completely free mod.
That's exactly what I was going for. :)
I read 16'x9' as 16:9. Then I read it again.

Is it crazy how saying sentences backwards creates backwards sentences saying how crazy it is?
