When I first heard about Brothers in Arms, it sounded like the perfect mixture of tactics and first-person action, and I wasn't disappointed. Early on, though, I was frustrated by certain things. I felt like there were a lot of commands missing, and the behavior of the AI squads could be improved a bit. I posted my suggestions on the Gearbox Forums, expecting a fix or mod to come out. Actually I thought that there was this huge modding community at the time, since every other WWII game seemed to have one, and Gearbox had released a pretty decent SDK with plenty of support from their own developers. Strangely, though, very few mods ever materialized. Three years later, I finally had some time to actually start modding Brothers in Arms myself. I started with the suggestions I had made such a long time ago, and just kept going. I have many more ideas that I may never get a chance to implement, because time is just very scarce these days...

If you are playing in Authentic there are no suppression indicators.

CustomWeapons and CustomMutators are two different mutators and have their own separate .ini files. They are both in the System folder for the game.

Well, for the Windows, you download the .exe file. Then you just double-click that or run it like any other program, and it should install itself. Once the mod is installed, you can run BiA as normal and just follow the instructions on my website for using mutators with the game.

I can't remember. If there is a setting for it, it would be in CustomWeapons.ini, which is used by the CustomWeapons mutator.

That's the Wehrmacht mod that's causing that.

Use the CustomWeapons mutator. You can edit the sway in the CustomWeapons.ini file.

Sadly I don't think I'll be able to finish this mutator. Thanks for all of your feedback, though.

You need the latest. Check my website for the patch links if you need them.

I'm not sure but you can try starting the game with the CustomMutators shortcut that is installed in the Start Menu and then resuming your checkpoint.

Did you read the installation instructions? You have to untar the files in the correct directory ("BrothersInArms" or "BrothersInArmsEiB"). Afterward, check your "BrothersInArms/System" directory and it should have a bunch of files beginning with mjc and ending with .int and .u. If these files aren't there then you have to figure out how to install it properly.

If there is no Mutators button in the Chapters menu, then your RtH30 is not patched to v1.11. You Google the patch or you can download it on my website Sites.google.com

No, sorry. That would be cool but best you can do is Skirmish.

This is the full version, so you only need this one. Easy, right?

You're right! I'll put it in the next release. In the meantime, just add this line:

LoadMutatorSP=mjcWeapons.RealTankShells

Ok, maybe .czt is not the right extension. See if you can figure it out from the other files from the game. If you still can't get it working, try the shortcut for Rendroc CustomMutaors that was installed in your Windows Programs menu.

OK I looked it up and I think it is .czt. So what you do is look for the mjc*.est files in the System directory, and change the last extension part from .est to .czt. Let me know if this works and I'll put it in the next release.

Yes, I don't think I made a Czech version. It's easy to fix though. Look in your BiA/System folder, and tell me what the extension is for the Czech files. There should be some files that end with .cze or .cz or something like that... what do they all end with? (2-3 letters)

Did you find the mutators button? It should open a list to select them.

When you create a multiplayer game, there is a button at the bottom that says Mutators. Add the DemonicMP mutator and then when you start the match there will be bots.

Enable the console( Gamefaqs.com ), and type "BEHINDVIEW 1".

I'm going to include some camera adjustment controls for this in the next release.

Thanks! Well, the bots are supposed to wait for all humans to pick their teams first, then they fill the empty slots. So you should be able to play 2P vs 2CPU or 2P vs 1CPU+1P. If you use DemonicMPx you can play 2P vs 1P. Is this not working?

I have plans to get some new uniforms for MP but that will be a while. 4 to 6 in skirmish is just too much work, sorry.

Tell us more about your Steam group! Sounds exciting. You should post a link at Forums.gearboxsoftware.com there's still some guys modding MP maps there that would love to hear about it.

Yes, but you have to use the CustomMutators shortcut. Check the ReadMe section 1.3. I haven't tried it out too much myself, but I'm told that most of the mutators work. Skirmish is technically a MP map so both singleplayer and multiplayer mutators should work except WarZone, for instance. You can try WarZoneMP, though... let me know how it goes :)

I think you should try again, or try downloading from my website Sites.google.com
But if that doesn't work then try the Mac version; it's pretty much the same files without the Windows shortcuts.

Actually now that I think about it the "Mac" version is just an archive of the same files, so you could probably try that.
