Seeing Source models be put into Goldsrc is always so cursed, especially with the wacky upper proportions messing up the arms.

Wouldn't it be more consistent to use a Barney model and heavily edit that so it looks more in place with the rest of the cast? Then again some of the enemies are also just Source reskins of stuff like the charple from HL2, kind of a weird mix honestly.

You might want to look into improving the texture and mesh quality regarding Fabreen and the viewmodel arms.

The proportions and the weighting seem really bad on Fabreen and those normals def need an improvement with how much darkness they cause. Incredibly long hands.

The viewmodel arms are very inconsistent in quality texturing wise as the sleeves look lower res than the hands which also suffer from some really weird texturing with that leather pattern.

Noticed that aswell while testing it, I assume they just never had their VCDs implemented as the sound files exist although the mic quality is really bad.

Urban Chaos getting 1st place was something I wasn't expecting considering we didn't do anything special for MOTY, seems like alot of people care for the old OF2 mod after all.

Aiming for atleast 4-5 hours, it will definitely be more than 2 hours.

If we're able to do so without any problems, yes.

Both mods take place in a completely different time period, in different parts of the world. I'd say they're fine continuity wise.

To be fair, it's been 4 months since the last article but that's been the plan with posts, we only ever do them when we have enough new stuff to show off that fits into a theme. Otherwise we send out a few renders of models like last time.

Yes, although for many technical reasons we kinda wish we didn't at this point in time as it doesn't really play fair with other custom code.

The mod's been cancelled since last year or so as the lead lost interest a while back and none of us knew what do as a result.

None of us besides the lead has access to make articles and upload files so here's what we had before cancelation, don't expect much as it was originally just a mappack with some custom assets that was supposed to make the concept pieces into a playable thing until the team grew and we wanted to do something bigger.

Playable build of the mod:

As cool as it would be to have it, it does not fit into our version of the story and there is no space anywhere for it.

What we're doing is closer to what they had in 2014 when they cancelled the mod, rather than anything close to 2009. (Titanspleen era)

We are trying to avoid the mess the Neverhölle-team did with OF2: Lost, we are only re-using bits and pieces of maps from 2010 and onwards when the big revamp happened and even then only those that make sense.

Everything that will be featured in the mod is gonna be completely new and remade as the github release is missing so much stuff and majority of those assets also got lost to time or are too old and broken. All of the maps besides the ones released in the 2011 demo suffer from pretty visuals but horrible gameplay planning.

We're very careful and picky about how we do things so we don't repeat the same mistakes.

I suggest that you join our discord server if you wish to talk about the mod further and possibly meet some old (and new) faces.

We don't have a release date set as we don't want to end up not delivering by then.

The mod will release once it's ready, will most likely take a couple of years till full release.

Unless the project gets an engine license, it cannot be sold for money. Steam release is in the plans but we'd rather not have a similar situation to HDTF.

The mod will always be free.

Isn't the background map from Lost Souls? I don't really see how that fits here considering they take place in different parts of the world.

Anything new regarding the mod? There hasn't been anything posted since last year, October. Would be a shame if it got canned/forgotten.
