I have a question, how did you manage to modify the file, which code writing program did you use or decrypting program? I would like to create some of my own modifications of a game.

According to what I remember, the main data of the game located in the data file, consisted in those PAK file. You need an PAK en/decrpyt to extract those PAK files into text file that can be editted by normal text editor.

First, thank you for your efforts with Praetorians. I am old enough to say that I have played the game since it was first released.Just curious about your mod, is it possible to promote soldiers to centurion as it was in the original game.

Thanks for your kind words. About the question, it is possible. As I mentioned in my mod's article, you can promote units by increasing UCP, through training scouts.

Hi. Practically you have to modify the "Race" file in the game encrypted file to create a new civilization, and then you must make a new "Centurion/Chieftain" for that new civ. However, If you want to dispose several leaders for one civ, that make the civ overpowered unless other civ have many different leaders at once too. What are you planning to do with this? :)

Thank you for your answer. I want to be able to dispose in the skirmish mode the same civilisations as the campaign. For example, Pompeus Forces have at their disposal simultaneously barbarians, romans and egyptians, making it harder to defeat. In real, Romans did not dispose qualitative cavalry and used to employ Gallic or Germanic units :)
So what is the location of these "Race" file please ?

It is located in the DATA folder, but it is encrypted.
