Great work! Thanks and congratulations on the release!
Great work! Thanks and congratulations on the release!
Make sure this file is at the bottom of the list and not followed by other addons affecting GUI, which may have names starting with multiple z. Try to rename this file to have more zzz in its name so that it goes down the file list, for example: zzzzsplash_169.pk4. Doom 3 loads pk4 files in alphabetical order.
Glad you like it! Enjoy!
Unpack to baseq2
Thank you!
No video, sorry. Just read through the readme.txt and the discussion here.
Which version of Doom 3 do you use? I produced and tested the mod on Retail Doom 3.
Good to hear from you, Clear_strelok! Congratulations with the Masters's degree. What field is it in?
This is just a texture set, it contains no scripts, so no reason for it to be incompatible with modified engines.
Thank you for the info and for the fix! The described behavior was not intentional.
Hi! D3HDP does include some of my textures, according to the mod author's choice. And yes, you can use my textures as you see fit. That's totally OK.
Thank you!
This pack does not contain any shaders, effects, scripts, models etc. Just plain environment textures.
The pack was created for and tested on vanilla SoC 1.0006, I cannot guarantee its compatibility with mods.
The Doom 3 Discord community might help you with this better: Discord.gg
I never held Delta Touch in my hands.
Sorry for the late reply, I didn't get notified about new comment.
Unfortunately, I don't have access to Steam version of Doom 3 to make tests, thus cannot help you.
Thank you very much! I'll consider this.
Oh, great! Looking forward to it!
Thank you!
enwall17_local is flipped over :)
mchangar1kc_s seems to have incorrect name and should be named mchangar1_s instead.
Oh, great! I'll definitely take a look at it. And thanks for putting it all together!
I've managed to complete some long-outstanding textures, and re-uploaded the entire pack. That's it for a while, I guess.
Thank you! I'm glad you like it. Check out the recent re-upload for some additional improvements.
Hi! I tried Cupscale with all the models you've listed, and I tried Gigapixel, too, but I cannot get nearly as good result as yours.
Please see if you can find time to make 4x upscales of normal maps only, cause they define how detailed surfaces or models look. Using a high-res normal even with a default low-res texture makes a surface look way better!
I've updated and reuploaded my pack. I managed to complete a few textures.
Hi! You just did what I wanted to do since darklord34 released his amazing upscale pack--combine the best of all D3 textures alltogether. Thank you!
You may want to consider my texture pack, since it includes many custom textures I made based on existing ones by other authors, and also some fixed/improved ones from previous texture packs. My texture pack is by no means complete, but I stopped working on it, so I released it for anyone interested. You may find it here: Moddb.com
Unpack and check out anything dated from 2019 to 2021 -- those are mine.
Thank you for the feedback. Please propose other (better?) moster skins, if you know any, and I'll include those instead. Good alternatives are always welcome!
Textures do work on Yamagi, all the screenshots in the gallery are made with Yamagi. Simply placing obvtex.pk3 into your Quake 2/oblivion folder does the trick. Make sure that you're using OpenGL renderer, not software. Run using a BAT file or a shortcut with command: "start yquake2.exe +set game oblivion" (without quotation marks).
I personally don't like the way Zaero looks, I find its textures ugly, so the intention of this pack is to make it look more like Quake 2 instead.
Thanks for the feedback! They were so in Zaero, I didn't add anything to them, only made an upscale. I could probably use other hand textures, but this didn't cross my mind when I was making the pack.
Thanks for the feedback and the installation guidance! This is helpful!
