Blood 2: The Second Cut v2.1
Full Version 3 commentsThe first version of Blood 2: The Second Cut, now updated to version 2.1. Have fun.
Blood 2 is infamous for being essentially half-finished due to its troubled development. The Second Cut is made to finish the remaining half by tweaking the gameplay and fixing bugs.
The aforementioned gameplay tweaks are as follows:
-The randomized damage system is far more consistent than before. Shikari no longer take up to 6 sniper shots to be killed.
-The Tesla Cannon's primary now only uses 1 ammo per shot, the Howitzer has double its original maximum ammo and deals more damage to compensate for their scarcity, the Insect-A-Cutioner's projectiles are no longer affected by gravity and its secondary fire shoots twice as quickly, and lastly the Singularity Generator has become a proper superweapon by having its damage increased.
-Fanatics will always flinch when hit to stop them from mowing down the player within seconds.
-Prophets do not take out their knives at low health any longer, simply because of how ineffective it was.
-Soul Drudges and Behemoths now always run.
-The Naga's nearly unavoidable laser attack is gone.
-Behemoths and the final boss had their health reduced, in order to make their fights less tedious.
-Death Shrouds are now fully visible while vulnerable, which helps with figuring out when to shoot them. Additionally, they are not knocked back by damage unlike before, making rapid fire weapons much more useful against them.
-Invisibility finally works as it should be by having enemies ignore you.
-All four of the Chosen now carry the same maximum quantity of ammo, with the exception of Focus.
-Keys and keycards spin around, so that they're easier to spot.
-Explosions are no longer affected by the locational damage system, and thus will always deal the same amount of damage.
And the bug fixes:
-Explosions do not cause damage through walls anymore.
-Gideon's second form no longer flinches on any damage inflicted.
-Headshots should be easier to score, as they now require you to aim at the actual head instead of the neck.
-The Shikari's jumping attack was removed altogether, due to its tendency to get stuck above the player.
-Fixed Shikari, Drudge Lords and the robed cultists from sliding across the ground when their target goes out of sight during their ranged attacks.
-All 3 enemies with attaching abilities (Bone Leeches, Thieves, Choking Hands) have been stopped from interfering with the player's movement.
-Every non-human enemy had their ability to pick up ammo disabled.
-The "You have been disconnected from the server." message that appeared upon loading a save has been removed.
Note: This project was built on top of the old "FX Enhancer" mod.

Great news and fantastic mod!
Any hopes for fixing the "running in place/ stuck while running" pedestrians?
I tried looking into the "civilians running in place" bug, but it seems to be a problem with the maps themselves, and since I'm not aware of any way of decompiling LithTech maps, I can't really do much about that right now.
No problem, maybe in the future :)
Besides that, I don't know why, but the game stutters in open areas.
I've launched it without mod and runs perfectly, stuttering only appears with the mod.
Other than that, still AI problems, like the Soul Drudges running into the pedestrians endlessly doing nothing.
Thanks for the reply!
I managed to figure out that the batch file used to launch the mod was causing performance problems. Use the Blood 2 launcher instead.
