You play as Thomas Redgrave. A scientist working in Area3 Research labs. The story is parallel with the events in Black Mesa, the same day when Gordon Freeman and Scientists in Sector C started the whole event. INSTALLATION: You need to have HALF-LIFE installed on your STEAM (original half-life, no half-life:source or Half-life2). Run it at least one time. Install BraveBrain v1.1 to your STEAM/steamapps/common/Half-life directory and restart STEAM.
Critical fixes has been applied that prevented finishing the game.
Very cool, all works now as intended! Great to see this update even after all of those years passed since initial release, because it's really a good mod :)

I know it's been a very long time. I've got the game running so smooth. BUT! The axe dont move at all so it is a bit daunting it stays in one place. Is there a fix for the movement??
Two words: Map Optimization!
Don't get me wrong, I had a lotta fun playing this mod. It's just that most of the maps are not optimized for lower-class GPUs, I have an old Latitude E4310 and this mod specifically drops even below 15FPS at certain locations. I don't have the same problem with playing original half-life, thus meaning that the maps (or lighting and textures idk which, maybe both) are not optimized. Also, B4A1 (i think that was the map) flooding sequence is WAY too slow. You know, after the lift breaks and falls down at the area with the bullsquid.
Now I don't mean to hate or be rude, its just that after all the work you put to make it work - and your mod has some cool mechanics - you could've taken the extra time to optimize the levels and not cause such huge FPS drops on lower GPUs. Otherwise, great work and keep it up!
